| 4 | He will overshadow thee with his shoulders: and under his wings thou shalt trust. | Ngàn năm Chúa kể là gì,tựa hôm qua đã qua đi mất rồi,khác nào một trống canh thôi! | ἐν τοῖς μεταφρένοις αὐτοῦ ἐπισκιάσει σοι, καὶ ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας αὐτοῦ ἐλπιεῖς· ὅπλῳ κυκλώσει σε ἡ ἀλήθεια αὐτοῦ. | כִּ֤י אֶ֪לֶף שָׁנִ֡ים בְּֽעֵינֶ֗יךָ כְּי֣וֹם אֶ֭תְמוֹל כִּ֣י יַעֲבֹ֑ר וְאַשְׁמוּרָ֥ה בַלָּֽיְלָה | Scapulis suis obumbrabit tibi, et sub pennis ejus sperabis. | For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night. |

In the morning they sprout like new grass. |
| 6 | Of the arrow that flieth in the day, of the business that walketh about in the dark: of invasion, or of the noonday devil. | nở hoa vươn mạnh sớm ngày,chiều về ủ rũ tàn phai chẳng còn. | ἀπὸ πράγματος διαπορευομένου ἐν σκότει, ἀπὸ συμπτώματος καὶ δαιμονίου μεσημβρινοῦ. | בַּ֭בֹּקֶר יָצִ֣יץ וְחָלָ֑ף לָ֝עֶ֗רֶב יְמוֹלֵ֥ל וְיָבֵֽשׁ | a sagitta volante in die, a negotio perambulante in tenebris, ab incursu, et dæmonio meridiano. | In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry. |
| 7 | A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee. | Ngài thịnh nộ, chúng con phải mạng vong,nổi trận lôi đình: thấy mà khủng khiếp! | πεσεῖται ἐκ τοῦ κλίτους σου χιλιάς, καὶ μυριὰς ἐκ δεξιῶν σου, πρὸς σὲ δὲ οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ· | כִּֽי כָלִ֥ינוּ בְאַפֶּ֑ךָ וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ | Cadent a latere tuo mille, et decem millia a dextris tuis; ad te autem non appropinquabit. | For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath. |
| 8 | But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked. | Tội chúng con, Chúa bày ra trước mặt Ngài,lỗi thầm kín, Thánh Nhan đều soi tỏ. | πλὴν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κατανοήσεις, καὶ ἀνταπόδοσιν ἁμαρτωλῶν ὄψῃ. | שת שַׁתָּ֣ה עֲוֺנֹתֵ֣ינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ עֲ֝לֻמֵ֗נוּ לִמְא֥וֹר פָּנֶֽיךָ | Verumtamen oculis tuis considerabis, et retributionem peccatorum videbis. | You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. |

We bring our years to an end as a sigh. |
| 10 | There shall no evil come to thee: nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling. | Tính tuổi thọ, trong ngoài bảy chục,mạnh giỏi chăng là được tám mươi,mà phần lớn chỉ là gian lao khốn khổ,cuộc đời thấm thoát, chúng con đã khuất rồi. | οὐ προσελεύσεται πρὸς σὲ κακά, καὶ μάστιξ οὐκ ἐγγιεῖ τῷ σκηνώματί σου· | יְמֵֽי שְׁנוֹתֵ֨ינוּ בָהֶ֥ם שִׁבְעִ֪ים שָׁנָ֡ה וְאִ֤ם בִּגְבוּרֹ֨ת שְׁמ֘וֹנִ֤ים שָׁנָ֗ה וְ֭רָהְבָּם עָמָ֣ל וָאָ֑וֶן כִּי גָ֥ז חִ֝֗ישׁ וַנָּעֻֽפָה | Non accedet ad te malum, et flagellum non appropinquabit tabernaculo tuo. | The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away. |
| 11 | For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways. | Cơn giận Ngài, ai lường được sức mạnh,trận lôi đình, ai hiểu thấu căn nguyên? | ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς σου· | מִֽי י֭וֹדֵעַ עֹ֣ז אַפֶּ֑ךָ וּ֝כְיִרְאָתְךָ֗ עֶבְרָתֶֽךָ | Quoniam angelis suis mandavit de te, ut custodiant te in omnibus viis tuis. | Who knows the power of your anger, your wrath according to the fear that is due to you? |
| 12 | In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. | Xin dạy chúng con đếm tháng ngày mình sống,ngõ hầu tâm trí được khôn ngoan. | ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε, μή ποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου. | לִמְנ֣וֹת יָ֭מֵינוּ כֵּ֣ן הוֹדַ֑ע וְ֝נָבִ֗א לְבַ֣ב חָכְמָֽה | In manibus portabunt te, ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum. | So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. |
| 13 | Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: and thou shalt trample under foot the lion and the dragon. | Lạy CHÚA, xin trở lại! How long? Have compassion on your servants! |
| 14 | Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name. | Từ buổi mai, xin cho đoàn con được no say tình Chúa,để ngày ngày được hớn hở vui ca. | ὅτι ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἤλπισεν, καὶ ῥύσομαι αὐτόν· σκεπάσω αὐτόν, ὅτι ἔγνω τὸ ὄνομά μου. | שַׂבְּעֵ֣נוּ בַבֹּ֣קֶר חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וּֽנְרַנְּנָ֥ה וְ֝נִשְׂמְחָ֗ה בְּכָל יָמֵֽינוּ | Quoniam in me speravit, liberabo eum; protegam eum, quoniam cognovit nomen meum. | Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. |
| 15 | He shall cry to me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will deliver him, and I will glorify him. | Xin ban tặng chúng con niềm hoan hỷ,bù lại những tháng nămNgài đã bắt nếm nhục nuốt sầu. | ἐπικαλέσεταί με, καὶ εἰσακούσομαι αὐτοῦ, μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰμι ἐν θλίψει, καὶ ἐξελοῦμαι καὶ δοξάσω αὐτόν. | שַׂ֭מְּחֵנוּ כִּימ֣וֹת עִנִּיתָ֑נוּ שְׁ֝נ֗וֹת רָאִ֥ינוּ רָעָֽה | Clamabit ad me, et ego exaudiam eum; cum ipso sum in tribulatione: eripiam eum, et glorificabo eum. | Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil. |
| 16 | I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation. | Ước gì chúng con là tôi tớ Chúađược thấy công trình Ngài thực hiện,và con cháu chúng con được thấy vinh hiển Ngài. | μακρότητι ἡμερῶν ἐμπλήσω αὐτόν, καὶ δείξω αὐτῷ τὸ σωτήριόν μου. | יֵרָאֶ֣ה אֶל עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ פָעֳלֶ֑ךָ וַ֝הֲדָרְךָ֗ עַל בְּנֵיהֶֽם | Longitudine dierum replebo eum, et ostendam illi salutare meum.] | Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children. |
