| 2 | Command the children of Israel, that they cast out of the camp every leper, and whosoever hath an issue of seed, or is defiled by the dead: | “Hãy truyền cho con cái Ít-ra-en phải đuổi ra khỏi trại mọi người bị bệnh phong, mọi kẻ mắc bệnh lậu, mọi người nhiễm uế vì xác chết: | Πρόσταξον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐξαποστειλάτωσαν ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς πάντα λεπρὸν καὶ πάντα γονορρυῆ καὶ πάντα ἀκάθαρτον ἐπὶ ψυχῇ· | צַ֚ו אֶת בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וִֽישַׁלְּחוּ֙ מִן הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה כָּל צָר֖וּעַ וְכָל זָ֑ב וְכֹ֖ל טָמֵ֥א לָנָֽפֶשׁ | Præcipe filiis Israël, ut ejiciant de castris omnem leprosum, et qui semine fluit, pollutusque est super mortuo: | “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is unclean by a corpse. |
| 3 | Whether it be man or woman, cast ye them out of the camp, lest they defile it when I shall dwell with you. | Các ngươi phải đuổi chúng, bất kể đàn ông hay đàn bà, các ngươi phải đuổi ra khỏi trại, kẻo chúng làm ô uế trại, nơi Ta cư ngụ ở giữa chúng.” | ἀπὸ ἀρσενικοῦ ἕως θηλυκοῦ, ἐξαποστείλατε ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς, καὶ οὐ μὴ μιανοῦσιν τὰς παρεμβολὰς αὐτῶν, ἐν οἷς ἐγὼ καταγίνομαι ἐν αὐτοῖς. | מִזָּכָ֤ר עַד נְקֵבָה֙ תְּשַׁלֵּ֔חוּ אֶל מִח֥וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה תְּשַׁלְּח֑וּם וְלֹ֤א יְטַמְּאוּ֙ אֶת מַ֣חֲנֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י שֹׁכֵ֥ן בְּתוֹכָֽם | tam masculum quam feminam ejicite de castris, ne contaminent ea cum habitaverint vobiscum. | You shall put both male and female outside of the camp so that they don’t defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.” |
| 4 | And the children of Israel did so, and they cast them forth without the camp, as the Lord had spoken to Moses. | Con cái Ít-ra-en đã làm như thế: họ đã đuổi những người ấy ra khỏi trại. Con cái Ít-ra-en đã làm như ĐỨC CHÚA đã phán với ông Mô-sê. | καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ, καὶ ἐξαπέστειλαν αὐτοὺς ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς· καθὰ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος Μωυσῇ, οὕτως ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ. | וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ כֵן֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיְשַׁלְּח֣וּ אוֹתָ֔ם אֶל מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֵּ֥ן עָשׂ֖וּ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל | Feceruntque ita filii Israël, et ejecerunt eos extra castra, sicut locutus erat Dominus Moysi. | The children of Israel did so, and put them outside of the camp; as the LORD spoke to Moses, so the children of Israel did. |

| 6 | Say to the children of Israel: When a man or woman shall have committed any of all the sins that men are wont to commit, and by negligence shall have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and offended, | “Ngươi hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en: ‘Phàm ai, đàn ông hay đàn bà, vì bất trung với ĐỨC CHÚA, mà phạm một trong những tội người ta quen phạm, thì con người ấy phải chịu phạt. | Λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ λέγων Ἀνὴρ ἢ γυνὴ ὅστις ἐὰν ποιήσῃ ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν τῶν ἀνθρωπίνων, καὶ παριδὼν παρίδῃ καὶ πλημμελῶν πλημμελήσῃ ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη, | דַּבֵּר֮ אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ אִ֣ישׁ אֽוֹ אִשָּׁ֗ה כִּ֤י יַעֲשׂוּ֙ מִכָּל חַטֹּ֣את הָֽאָדָ֔ם לִמְעֹ֥ל מַ֖עַל בַּיהוָ֑ה וְאָֽשְׁמָ֖ה הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ הַהִֽוא | Loquere ad filios Israël: Vir, sive mulier, cum fecerint ex omnibus peccatis, quæ solent hominibus accidere, et per negligentiam transgressi fuerint mandatum Domini, atque deliquerint, | “Speak to the children of Israel: ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against the LORD, and that soul is guilty, |
| 7 | They shall confess their sin, and restore the principal itself, and the fifth part over and above, to him against whom they have sinned. | Nó phải xưng thú tội mình đã phạm và đền bù đầy đủ, ngoài ra còn phải trả thêm một phần năm nữa cho người mình đã làm thiệt hại. | ἐξαγορεύσει τὴν ἁμαρτίαν ἣν ἐποίησεν, καὶ ἀποδώσει τὴν πλημμελίαν, τὸ κεφάλαιον, καὶ τὸ ἐπίπεμπτον αὐτοῦ προσθήσει ἐπ᾽ αὐτό, καὶ ἀποδώσει τίνι ἐπλημμέλησεν αὐτῷ. | וְהִתְוַדּ֗וּ אֶֽת חַטָּאתָם֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂוּ֒ וְהֵשִׁ֤יב אֶת אֲשָׁמוֹ֙ בְּרֹאשׁ֔וֹ וַחֲמִישִׁת֖וֹ יֹסֵ֣ף עָלָ֑יו וְנָתַ֕ן לַאֲשֶׁ֖ר אָשַׁ֥ם לֽוֹ | confitebuntur peccatum suum, et reddent ipsum caput, quintamque partem desuper, ei in quem peccaverint. | then he shall confess his sin which he has done; and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him in respect of whom he has been guilty. |
| 8 | But if there be no one to receive it, they shall give it to the Lord, and it shall be the priest’s, besides the ram that is offered for expiation, to be an atoning sacrifice. | Nếu người này không có bà con gần để lãnh của bồi thường thiệt hại, thì vật bồi thường sẽ thuộc về ĐỨC CHÚA, tức là thuộc về tư tế, chưa kể con dê xá tội phải dâng để làm nghi thức xá tội cho người mắc lỗi. | ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ὁ ἀγχιστεύων ὥστε ἀποδοῦναι αὐτῷ τὸ πλημμέλημα πρὸς αὐτόν, τὸ πλημμέλημα τὸ ἀποδιδόμενον Κυρίῳ τῷ ἱερεῖ ἔσται, πλὴν τοῦ κριοῦ τοῦ ἱλασμοῦ δι᾽ οὗ ἐξιλάσεται ἐν αὐτῷ περὶ αὐτοῦ. | וְאִם אֵ֨ין לָאִ֜ישׁ גֹּאֵ֗ל לְהָשִׁ֤יב הָאָשָׁם֙ אֵלָ֔יו הָאָשָׁ֛ם הַמּוּשָׁ֥ב לַיהוָ֖ה לַכֹּהֵ֑ן מִלְּבַ֗ד אֵ֚יל הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְכַפֶּר בּ֖וֹ עָלָֽיו | Sin autem non fuerit qui recipiat, dabunt Domino, et erit sacerdotis, excepto ariete, qui offertur pro expiatione, ut sit placabilis hostia. | But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made to the LORD shall be the priest’s, in addition to the ram of the atonement, by which atonement shall be made for him. |
| 9 | All the firstfruits also, which the children of Israel offer, belong to the priest: | Mọi của trích dâng và mọi hiến vật mà con cái Ít-ra-en dâng cho tư tế đều thuộc về tư tế. | καὶ πᾶσα ἀπαρχὴ κατὰ πάντα τὰ ἁγιαζόμενα ἐν υἱοῖς Ἰσραήλ, ὅσα ἂν προσφέρωσιν τῷ κυρίῳ τῷ ἱερεῖ, αὐτῷ ἔσται. | וְכָל תְּרוּמָ֞ה לְכָל קָדְשֵׁ֧י בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֲשֶׁר יַקְרִ֥יבוּ לַכֹּהֵ֖ן ל֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה | Omnes quoque primitiæ, quas offerunt filii Israël, ad sacerdotem pertinent: | Every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his. |
| 10 | And whatsoever is offered into the sanctuary by every one, and is delivered into the hands of the priest, it shall be his. | Hiến vật của ai thì thuộc về người ấy; còn nếu đã dâng cho tư tế thì là của tư tế.’” | καὶ ἑκάστῳ τὰ ἡγιασμένα αὐτοῦ ἔσται· ἀνὴρ ὃς ἐὰν δῷ τῷ ἱερεῖ, αὐτῷ ἔσται. | וְאִ֥ישׁ אֶת קֳדָשָׁ֖יו ל֣וֹ יִהְי֑וּ אִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִתֵּ֥ן לַכֹּהֵ֖ן ל֥וֹ יִהְיֶֽה | et quidquid in sanctuarium offertur a singulis, et traditur manibus sacerdotis, ipsius erit. | Every man’s holy things shall be his; whatever any man gives the priest, it shall be his.’” |
| 11 | And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: | ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê: | Καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων | וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר | Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens: | The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, |
| 12 | Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man whose wife shall have gone astray, and contemning her husband, | “Ngươi hãy nói với con cái Ít-ra-en và bảo chúng: Nếu ai bị vợ mất nết phản bội, | Λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς Ἀνδρὸς ἀνδρὸς ἐὰν παραβῇ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ παρίδῃ αὐτὸν ὑπεριδοῦσα, | דַּבֵּר֙ אֶל בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם אִ֥ישׁ אִישׁ֙ כִּֽי תִשְׂטֶ֣ה אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וּמָעֲלָ֥ה ב֖וֹ מָֽעַל | Loquere ad filios Israël, et dices ad eos: Vir cujus uxor erraverit, maritumque contemnens | “Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: ‘If any man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him, |
| 13 | Shall have slept with another man, and her husband cannot discover it, but the adultery is secret, and cannot be proved by witnesses, because she was not found in the adultery: | nghĩa là có người nằm với người đàn bà ấy mà người chồng không biết; và người vợ đã bí mật thất tiết mà không có ai làm chứng cáo tội, không bắt được quả tang; | καὶ κοιμηθῇ τις μετ᾽ αὐτῆς κοίτην σπέρματος, καὶ λάθῃ ἐξ ὀφθαλμῶν τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ κρύψῃ, αὐτὴ δὲ ᾖ μεμιαμμένη, καὶ μάρτυς μὴ ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ αὐτὴ μὴ ᾖ συνειλημμένη· | וְשָׁכַ֨ב אִ֣ישׁ אֹתָהּ֮ שִׁכְבַת זֶרַע֒ וְנֶעְלַם֙ מֵעֵינֵ֣י אִישָׁ֔הּ וְנִסְתְּרָ֖ה וְהִ֣יא נִטְמָ֑אָה וְעֵד֙ אֵ֣ין בָּ֔הּ וְהִ֖וא לֹ֥א נִתְפָּֽשָׂה | dormierit cum altero viro, et hoc maritus deprehendere non quiverit, sed latet adulterium, et testibus argui non potest, quia non est inventa in stupro: | and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and this is kept concealed, and she is defiled, there is no witness against her, and she isn’t taken in the act; |
| 14 | If the spirit of jealousy stir up the husband against his wife, who either is defiled, or is charged with false suspicion, | hoặc người chồng nổi máu ghen và ghen tức vợ đã thật sự thất tiết, hoặc nổi máu ghen và ghen tức vợ mà thật ra vợ đã không thất tiết, | καὶ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, αὐτὴ δὲ μεμίανται, ἢ ἐπέλθῃ αὐτῷ πνεῦμα ζηλώσεως καὶ ζηλώσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, αὐτὴ δὲ μὴ ᾖ μεμιαμμένη· | וְעָבַ֨ר עָלָ֧יו רֽוּחַ קִנְאָ֛ה וְקִנֵּ֥א אֶת אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ וְהִ֣וא נִטְמָ֑אָה אוֹ עָבַ֨ר עָלָ֤יו רֽוּחַ קִנְאָה֙ וְקִנֵּ֣א אֶת אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ וְהִ֖יא לֹ֥א נִטְמָֽאָה | si spiritus zelotypiæ concitaverit virum contra uxorem suam, quæ vel polluta est, vel falsa suspicione appetitur: | and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife and she is defiled; or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife and she isn’t defiled; |
| 15 | He shall bring her to the priest, and shall offer an oblation for her, the tenth part of a measure of barley meal: he shall not pour oil thereon, nor put frankincense upon it: because it is a sacrifice of jealousy, and an oblation searching out adultery. | thì bấy giờ người chồng phải dẫn vợ đến gặp tư tế, mà tiến dâng bốn lít rưỡi bột lúa mạch vì chuyện vợ mình; nhưng không rưới dầu lên trên và cũng không đổ hương vào, bởi đó là lễ phẩm dâng vì ghen tuông, lễ phẩm để tố cáo tội lỗi. | καὶ ἄξει ὁ ἄνθρωπος τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα, καὶ προσοίσει τὸ δῶρον περὶ αὐτῆς, τὸ δέκατον τοῦ οἰφί, ἄλευρον κρίθινον· οὐκ ἐπιχεεῖ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ἔλαιον οὐδὲ ἐπιθήσει ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ λίβανον, ἔστιν γὰρ θυσία ζηλοτυπίας, θυσία μνημοσύνου ἀναμιμνήσκουσα ἁμαρτίαν. | וְהֵבִ֨יא הָאִ֣ישׁ אֶת אִשְׁתּוֹ֮ אֶל הַכֹּהֵן֒ וְהֵבִ֤יא אֶת קָרְבָּנָהּ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ עֲשִׂירִ֥ת הָאֵיפָ֖ה קֶ֣מַח שְׂעֹרִ֑ים לֹֽא יִצֹ֨ק עָלָ֜יו שֶׁ֗מֶן וְלֹֽא יִתֵּ֤ן עָלָיו֙ לְבֹנָ֔ה כִּֽי מִנְחַ֤ת קְנָאֹת֙ ה֔וּא מִנְחַ֥ת זִכָּר֖וֹן מַזְכֶּ֥רֶת עָוֺֽן | adducet eam ad sacerdotem, et offeret oblationem pro illa, decimam partem sati farinæ hordeaceæ: non fundet super eam oleum, nec imponet thus: quia sacrificium zelotypiæ est, et oblatio investigans adulterium. | then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring her offering for her: one tenth of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to memory. |
| 16 | The priest therefore shall offer it, and set it before the Lord. | Tư tế sẽ đưa người đàn bà đến đứng trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA, | καὶ προσάξει αὐτὴν ὁ ἱερεύς, καὶ στήσει αὐτὴν ἔναντι Κυρίου· | וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹתָ֖הּ הַכֹּהֵ֑ן וְהֶֽעֱמִדָ֖הּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה | Offeret igitur eam sacerdos, et statuet coram Domino, | The priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD. |
| 17 | And he shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and he shall cast a little earth of the pavement of the tabernacle into it. | và lấy một bình sành đựng nước thánh, rồi lấy chút bụi trên nền Nhà Tạm bỏ vào nước. | καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ὕδωρ καθαρὸν ζῶν ἐν ἀγγίῳ ὀστρακίνῳ, καὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς οὔσης ἐπὶ τοῦ ἐδάφους τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ λαβὼν ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐμβαλεῖ εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ· | וְלָקַ֧ח הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מַ֥יִם קְדֹשִׁ֖ים בִּכְלִי חָ֑רֶשׂ וּמִן הֶֽעָפָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִהְיֶה֙ בְּקַרְקַ֣ע הַמִּשְׁכָּ֔ן יִקַּ֥ח הַכֹּהֵ֖ן וְנָתַ֥ן אֶל הַמָּֽיִם | assumetque aquam sanctam in vase fictili, et pauxillum terræ de pavimento tabernaculi mittet in eam. | The priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and the priest shall take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water. |
| 18 | And when the woman shall stand before the Lord, he shall uncover her head, and shall, put on her hands the sacrifice of remembrance, and the oblation of jealousy: and he himself shall hold the most bitter waters, whereon he hath heaped curses with execration. | Sau đó, tư tế đặt người đàn bà đứng trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA và lột khăn trùm đầu nó ra, rồi đặt lên hai bàn tay nó lễ phẩm tố cáo, nghĩa là lễ phẩm vì ghen tuông; đồng thời tay tư tế cầm bình nước chỉ sự đắng cay và nguyền rủa. | καὶ στήσει τὴν γυναῖκα ὁ ἱερεὺς ἔναντι Κυρίου, καὶ ἀποκαλύψει τὴν κεφαλὴν τῆς γυναικός, καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς τὴν θυσίαν τοῦ μνημοσύνου, τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας· ἐν δὲ τῇ χειρὶ τοῦ ἱερέως ἔσται τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐλεγμοῦ τοῦ ἐπικαταρωμένου τούτου. | וְהֶעֱמִ֨יד הַכֹּהֵ֥ן אֶֽת הָאִשָּׁה֮ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וּפָרַע֙ אֶת רֹ֣אשׁ הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וְנָתַ֣ן עַל כַּפֶּ֗יהָ אֵ֚ת מִנְחַ֣ת הַזִּכָּר֔וֹן מִנְחַ֥ת קְנָאֹ֖ת הִ֑וא וּבְיַ֤ד הַכֹּהֵן֙ יִהְי֔וּ מֵ֥י הַמָּרִ֖ים הַמְאָֽרֲרִֽים | Cumque steterit mulier in conspectu Domini, discooperiet caput ejus, et ponet super manus illius sacrificium recordationis, et oblationem zelotypiæ: ipse autem tenebit aquas amarissimas, in quibus cum execratione maledicta congessit. | The priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse. |

| 22 | Let the cursed waters enter into thy belly, and may thy womb swell and thy thigh rot. | 25 | The priest shall take from her hand the sacrifice of jealousy, and shall elevate it before the Lord, and shall put it upon the altar: yet so as first, | Tư tế sẽ nhận lấy từ tay người đàn bà lễ phẩm vì ghen tuông, làm nghi thức trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA và đặt trên bàn thờ. | καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐκ χειρὸς τῆς γυναικὸς τὴν θυσίαν τῆς ζηλοτυπίας, καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὴν θυσίαν ἔναντι Κυρίου καὶ προσοίσει αὐτὴν πρὸς τὸ θυσιαστήριον· | וְלָקַ֤ח הַכֹּהֵן֙ מִיַּ֣ד הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה אֵ֖ת מִנְחַ֣ת הַקְּנָאֹ֑ת וְהֵנִ֤יף אֶת הַמִּנְחָה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְהִקְרִ֥יב אֹתָ֖הּ אֶל הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ | tollet sacerdos de manu ejus sacrificium zelotypiæ, et elevabit illud coram Domino, imponetque illud super altare, ita dumtaxat ut prius: | The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the meal offering before the LORD, and bring it to the altar. |
| 26 | To take a handful of the sacrifice of that which is offered, and burn it upon the altar: and so give the most bitter waters to the woman to drink. | Tư tế sẽ bốc một nắm từ lễ phẩm đó, làm kỷ vật, mà đốt trên bàn thờ. | 27 | And when she hath drunk them, if she be defiled, and having despised her husband be guilty of adultery, the malediction shall go through her, and her belly swelling, her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse, and an example to all the people. | Tư tế cho nó uống nước rồi, nếu thật nó đã thất tiết và phản bội chồng, thì nước nguyền rủa sẽ ngấm vào nó để gây ra cay đắng, và tạng phủ nó sẽ sình lên, dạ nó héo đi.
