My son, attend to my wisdom, and incline thy ear to my prudence.Này con, khôn ngoan của thầy, con hãy chú tâm học hỏi,hiểu biết của thầy, con hãy lắng tai nghe,Υἱέ, ἐμῇ σοφίᾳ πρόσεχε, ἐμοῖς δὲ λόγοις παράβαλλε σὸν οὖς,בְּ֭נִי לְחָכְמָתִ֣י הַקְשִׁ֑יבָה לִ֝תְבוּנָתִ֗י הַט אָזְנֶֽךָ[Fili mi, attende ad sapientiam meam, et prudentiæ meæ inclina aurem tuam:My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding,
That thou mayst keep thoughts, and thy lips may preserve instruction. Mind not the deceit of a woman.để con cân nhắc thận trọngvà nói năng như người hiểu biết.ἵνα φυλάξῃς ἔννοιαν ἀγαθήν· αἴσθησις δὲ ἐμῶν χειλέων ἐντέλλεταί σοι. Ne attendas fallaciæ mulieris;that you may maintain discretion, that your lips may preserve knowledge.
For the lips of a harlot are like a honeycomb dropping, and her throat is smoother than oil.Quả thật, môi người đàn bà trắc nết tiết ra mật ngọt,miệng của nó trơn tru hơn dầu.μὴ πρόσεχε φαύλῃ γυναικί· μέλι γὰρ ἀποστάζει ἀπὸ χειλέων γυναικὸς πόρνης, ἣ πρὸς καιρὸν λιπαίνει σὸν φάρυγγα·כִּ֤י נֹ֣פֶת תִּ֭טֹּפְנָה שִׂפְתֵ֣י זָרָ֑ה וְחָלָ֖ק מִשֶּׁ֣מֶן חִכָּֽהּfavus enim distillans labia meretricis, et nitidius oleo guttur ejus:For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil,
But her end is bitter as wormwood, and sharp as a two-edged sword. וְֽ֭אַחֲרִיתָהּ מָרָ֣ה כַֽלַּעֲנָ֑ה חַ֝דָּ֗ה כְּחֶ֣רֶב פִּיּֽוֹתnovissima autem illius amara quasi absinthium, et acuta quasi gladius biceps.but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down into death, and her steps go in as far as hell.Đôi chân nó đi vào cõi chết,nó thẳng đường bước tới âm ty.τῆς γὰρ ἀφροσύνης οἱ πόδες κατάγουσιν τοὺς χρωμένους αὐτῇ μετὰ θανάτου εἰς τὸν ᾅδην, τὰ δὲ ἴχνη αὐτῆς οὐκ ἐρείδεται·רַ֭גְלֶיהָ יֹרְד֣וֹת מָ֑וֶת שְׁ֝א֗וֹל צְעָדֶ֥יהָ יִתְמֹֽכוּ Her feet go down to death. Her steps lead straight to Sheol.
They walk not by the path of life, her steps are wandering, and unaccountable.Đường dẫn vào sự sống, nó không theo,nó lạc lối, mà không hay biết.ὁδοὺς γὰρ ζωῆς οὐκ ἐπέρχεται, σφαλεραὶ δὲ αἱ τροχιαὶ αὐτῆς καὶ οὐκ εὔγνωστοι. She gives no thought to the way of life. Her ways are crooked, and she doesn’t know it.
Now therefore, my son, hear me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.Vậy giờ đây, hỡi các con, hãy nghe thầy,đừng bỏ đi khi thầy lên tiếng nói.νῦν οὖν, υἱέ, Nunc ergo fili mi, audi me, et ne recedas a verbis oris mei.Now therefore, my sons, listen to me. Don’t depart from the words of my mouth.
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the doors of her house. Remove your way far from her. Don’t come near the door of her house,
Give not thy honour to strangers, and thy years to the cruel.kẻo danh dự con bị trao vào tay người khác,và năm tháng đời con bị nộp cho đứa bạo tàn,ἵνα μὴ πρόῃ ἄλλοις ζωήν σου, καὶ σὸν βίον ἀνελεήμοσιν·פֶּן תִּתֵּ֣ן לַאֲחֵרִ֣ים הוֹדֶ֑ךָ וּ֝שְׁנֹתֶ֗יךָ לְאַכְזָרִֽיNe des alienis honorem tuum, et annos tuos crudeli:lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;
Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in another man’s house,kẻo tài sản của con, người ngoài tha hồ hưởng,và mồ hôi nước mắt của con lại giúp cho thiên hạ làm giàu,ἵνα μὴ πλησθῶσιν ἀλλότριοι σῆς ἰσχύος, οἱ δὲ σοὶ πόνοι εἰς οἴκους ἀλλοτρίων ἔλθωσιν·פֶּֽן יִשְׂבְּע֣וּ זָרִ֣ים כֹּחֶ֑ךָ וַ֝עֲצָבֶ֗יךָ בְּבֵ֣ית נָכְרִֽיne forte implentur extranei viribus tuis, et labores tui sint in domo aliena, lest strangers feast on your wealth, and your labors enrich another man’s house.
And thou mourn it the last, when thou shalt have spent thy flesh and thy body, and say:để cuối cùng, khi thân tàn ma dại,con đành phải trách phận than thân,καὶ μεταμεληθήσῃ ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων, ἡνίκα ἂν κατατριβῶσιν σάρκες σώματός σου,וְנָהַמְתָּ֥ בְאַחֲרִיתֶ֑ךָ בִּכְל֥וֹת בְּ֝שָׂרְךָ֗ וּשְׁאֵרֶֽךָet gemas in novissimis, quando consumpseris carnes tuas et corpus tuum, et dicas:You will groan at your latter end, when your flesh and your body are consumed,
Why have I hated instruction, and my heart consented not to reproof,và phải kêu lên rằng: “Than ôi, tôi đã ghét bỏ lời nghiêm huấn,và lời sửa dạy, lòng tôi đã coi khinh!καὶ ἐρεῖς Πῶς ἐμίσησα παιδείαν, καὶ ἐλέγχους ἐξέκλινεν ἡ καρδία μου·וְֽאָמַרְתָּ֗ אֵ֭יךְ שָׂנֵ֣אתִי מוּסָ֑ר וְ֝תוֹכַ֗חַת נָאַ֥ץ לִבִּֽיCur detestatus sum disciplinam, et increpationibus non acquievit cor meum, and say, “How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof.
And have not heard the voice of them that taught me, and have not inclined my ear to masters?Tôi chẳng vâng theo các bậc thầy.Không để tai nghe những người dạy dỗ.οὐκ ἤκουον φωνὴν παιδεύοντός με καὶ διδάσκοντός με, οὐδὲ παρέβαλλον τὸ οὖς μου·וְֽלֹא שָׁ֭מַעְתִּי בְּק֣וֹל מוֹרָ֑י וְ֝לִֽמְלַמְּדַ֗י לֹא הִטִּ֥יתִי אָזְנִֽיnec audivi vocem docentium me, et magistris non inclinavi aurem meam?I haven’t obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor turned my ear to those who instructed me!
I have almost been in all evil, in the midst of the church and of the congregation.Tôi suýt chịu bao nỗi khốn cùngở ngay giữa cộng đoàn và hội nghị!”παρ᾽ ὀλίγον ἐγενόμην ἐν παντὶ κακῷ ἐν μέσῳ ἐκκλησίας καὶ συναγωγῆς.כִּ֭מְעַט הָיִ֣יתִי בְכָל רָ֑ע בְּת֖וֹךְ קָהָ֣ל וְעֵדָֽהpene fui in omni malo, in medio ecclesiæ et synagogæ.I have come to the brink of utter ruin, among the gathered assembly.”
Drink water out of thy own cistern, and the streams of thy own well:Con hãy uống từ bồn nước của con,từ giếng của con, hãy uống nước tuôn trào.πῖνε ὕδατα ἀπὸ σῶν ἀγγείων καὶ ἀπὸ σῶν φρεάτων πηγῆς. Bibe aquam de cisterna tua, et fluenta putei tui;Drink water out of your own cistern, running water out of your own well.
Let thy fountains be conveyed abroad, and in the streets divide thy waters.Các suối nước của con, đừng để chảy ra ngoài,các dòng nước của con, đừng để chảy ở nơi đường phố.μὴ ὑπερεκχείσθω σοι ὕδατα ἐκ τῆς σῆς πηγῆς, εἰς δὲ σὰς πλατείας διαπορευέσθω τὰ σὰ ὕδατα·יָפ֣וּצוּ מַעְיְנֹתֶ֣יךָ ח֑וּצָה בָּ֝רְחֹב֗וֹת פַּלְגֵי מָֽיִםderiventur fontes tui foras, et in plateis aquas tuas divide.Should your springs overflow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?
Keep them to thyself alone, neither let strangers be partakers with thee. Habeto eas solus, nec sint alieni participes tui.Let them be for yourself alone, not for strangers with you.
Let thy vein be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of thy youth:Ước gì nguồn nước của con được Chúa chúc lành. Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth.
Let her be thy dearest hind, and most agreeable fawn: let her breasts inebriate thee at all times; he thou delighted continually with her love.Nàng là nai vàng đáng yêu, là sơn dương kiều diễm.Ước chi tấm thân nàng luôn làm con vui sướng thoả thuê,và tình yêu của nàng mãi làm con say sưa ngây ngất.ἔλαφος φιλίας καὶ πῶλος σῶν χαρίτων ὁμιλείτω σοι, ἡ δὲ ἰδία ἡγείσθω σου καὶ συνέστω σοι ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ· ἐν γὰρ τῇ ταύτης φιλίᾳ συνπεριφερόμενος πολλοστὸς ἔσῃ.אַיֶּ֥לֶת אֲהָבִ֗ים וְֽיַעֲלַ֫ת חֵ֥ן דַּ֭דֶּיהָ יְרַוֻּ֣ךָ בְכָל עֵ֑ת בְּ֝אַהֲבָתָ֗הּ תִּשְׁגֶּ֥ה תָמִֽידCerva carissima, et gratissimus hinnulus: ubera ejus inebrient te in omni tempore; in amore ejus delectare jugiter.A loving doe and a graceful deer— let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love.
Why art thou seduced, my son, by a strange woman, and art cherished in the bosom of another?Hỡi con, sao con lại mê say người đàn bà xa lạ,ôm ấp người phụ nữ không quen?μὴ πολὺς ἴσθι πρὸς ἀλλοτρίαν, μηδὲ συνέρχου ἀγκάλαις τῆς μὴ ἰδίας·וְלָ֤מָּה תִשְׁגֶּ֣ה בְנִ֣י בְזָרָ֑ה וּ֝תְחַבֵּ֗ק חֵ֣ק נָכְרִיָּֽה For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?
The Lord beholdeth the ways of man, and considereth all his steps.Vì ĐỨC CHÚA thấy rõ đường nẻo của mỗi người,hết mọi lối đi, Người đều biết cả.ἐνώπιον γὰρ εἰσιν τῶν τοῦ θεοῦ ὀφθαλμῶν ὁδοὶ ἀνδρός, εἰς δὲ πάσας τὰς τροχιὰς αὐτοῦ σκοπεύει. Respicit Dominus vias hominis, et omnes gressus ejus considerat. For the ways of man are before the LORD’s eyes. He examines all his paths.
His own iniquities catch the wicked, and he is fast bound with the ropes of his own sins.Ác nhân vướng mắc trong tội ác của mình,nó sa vào bẫy tội lỗi nó giăng ra.παρανομίαι ἄνδρα ἀγρεύουσιν, σειραῖς δὲ τῶν ἑαυτοῦ ἁμαρτιῶν ἕκαστος σφίγγεται. Iniquitates suas capiunt impium, et funibus peccatorum suorum constringitur. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare him. The cords of his sin hold him firmly.
He shall die, because he hath not received instruction, and in the multitude of his folly he shall be deceived.Nó sẽ chết vì thiếu lời nghiêm huấn,vì ngu si quá đỗi, nó sẽ phải lạc đường.οὗτος τελευτᾷ μετὰ ἀπαιδεύτων, ἐκ δὲ πλήθους τῆς ἑαυτοῦ βιότητος ἐξερίφη καὶ ἀπώλετο δι᾽ ἀφροσύνην. Ipse morietur, quia non habuit disciplinam, et in multitudine stultitiæ suæ decipietur.]He will die for lack of instruction.
