| 1 | And again he began to teach by the sea side; and a great multitude was gathered together unto him, so that he went up into a ship, and sat in the sea; and all the multitude was upon the land by the sea side. | Đức Giê-su lại bắt đầu giảng dạy ở ven Biển Hồ. | 5 | And other some fell upon stony ground, where it had not much earth; and it shot up immediately, because it had no depth of earth. | Có hạt rơi trên sỏi đá, chỗ không có nhiều đất; nó mọc ngay, vì đất không sâu; | ⸂καὶ ἄλλο⸃ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸ πετρῶδες ⸀ὅπου οὐκ εἶχεν γῆν πολλήν, καὶ ⸀εὐθὺς ἐξανέτειλεν διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν βάθος γῆς· | Aliud vero cecidit super petrosa, ubi non habuit terram multam: et statim exortum est, quoniam non habebat altitudinem terræ: | Others fell on the rocky ground, where it had little soil, and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil. |
| 6 | And when the sun was risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. | nhưng khi nắng lên, nó liền bị cháy, và vì thiếu rễ nên bị chết khô. | ⸂καὶ ὅτε ἀνέτειλεν ὁ ἥλιος⸃ ⸀ἐκαυματίσθη καὶ διὰ τὸ μὴ ἔχειν ῥίζαν ἐξηράνθη. | et quando exortus est sol, exæstuavit: et eo quod non habebat radicem, exaruit. | When the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. |

| 8 | And some fell upon good ground; and brought forth fruit that grew up, and increased and yielded, one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred. | Có những hạt lại rơi nhằm đất tốt, nó mọc và lớn lên, sinh hoa kết quả: hạt thì được ba mươi, hạt thì được sáu mươi, hạt thì được một trăm.” | καὶ ⸀ἄλλα ἔπεσεν εἰς τὴν γῆν τὴν καλήν, καὶ ἐδίδου καρπὸν ἀναβαίνοντα καὶ ⸀αὐξανόμενα, καὶ ἔφερεν ⸂ἓν τριάκοντα καὶ ἓν ἑξήκοντα καὶ ἓν⸃ ἑκατόν. | Et aliud cecidit in terram bonam: et dabat fructum ascendentem et crescentem, et afferebat unum triginta, unum sexaginta, et unum centum. | Others fell into the good ground and yielded fruit, growing up and increasing. Some produced thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times as much.” |

| 11 | And he said to them: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to them that are without, all things are done in parables: | Người nói với các ông: “Phần anh em, mầu nhiệm Nước Thiên Chúa đã được ban cho anh em; còn với những người kia là những kẻ ở ngoài, thì cái gì cũng phải dùng dụ ngôn, | καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Ὑμῖν ⸂τὸ μυστήριον δέδοται⸃ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ· ἐκείνοις δὲ τοῖς ἔξω ἐν παραβολαῖς τὰ πάντα γίνεται, | Et dicebat eis: Vobis datum est nosse mysterium regni Dei: illis autem, qui foris sunt, in parabolis omnia fiunt: | He said to them, “To you is given the mystery of God’s Kingdom, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables, |
| 12 | That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand: lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. | để họ có trố mắt nhìn cũng chẳng thấy, có lắng tai nghe cũng không hiểu, kẻo họ trở lại và được ơn tha thứ.”Mt 13,18-23; Lc 8,11-15 | ἵνα βλέποντες βλέπωσι καὶ μὴ ἴδωσιν, καὶ ἀκούοντες ἀκούωσι καὶ μὴ συνιῶσιν, μήποτε ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ ἀφεθῇ ⸀αὐτοῖς. | ut videntes videant, et non videant: et audientes audiant, et non intelligant: nequando convertantur, et dimittantur eis peccata. | that ‘seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest perhaps they should turn again, and their sins should be forgiven them.’” |
| 13 | And he saith to them: Are you ignorant of this parable? and how shall you know all parables? | Người còn nói với các ông: “Anh em không hiểu dụ ngôn này, thì làm sao hiểu được tất cả các dụ ngôn? | Καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην, καὶ πῶς πάσας τὰς παραβολὰς γνώσεσθε; | Et ait illis: Nescitis parabolam hanc? Et quomodo omnes parabolas cognoscetis? | He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How will you understand all of the parables? |
| 14 | He that soweth, soweth the word. | Người gieo giống đây là người gieo lời. | ὁ σπείρων τὸν λόγον σπείρει. | Qui seminat, verbum seminat. | The farmer sows the word. |
| 15 | And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown, and as soon as they have heard, immediately Satan cometh and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. | Những kẻ ở bên vệ đường, nơi lời đã gieo xuống, là những kẻ vừa nghe thì Xa-tan liền đến cất lời đã gieo nơi họ. | οὗτοι δέ εἰσιν οἱ παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν ὅπου σπείρεται ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν ⸀εὐθὺς ἔρχεται ὁ Σατανᾶς καὶ αἴρει τὸν λόγον τὸν ἐσπαρμένον ⸂εἰς αὐτούς⸃. | Hi autem sunt, qui circa viam, ubi seminatur verbum, et cum audierint, confestim venit Satanas, et aufert verbum, quod seminatum est in cordibus eorum. | The ones by the road are the ones where the word is sown; and when they have heard, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. |
| 16 | And these likewise are they that are sown on the stony ground: who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. | Còn những kẻ được gieo trên sỏi đá là những kẻ khi nghe lời thì liền vui vẻ đón nhận, | καὶ οὗτοί εἰσιν ⸀ὁμοίως οἱ ἐπὶ τὰ πετρώδη σπειρόμενοι, οἳ ὅταν ἀκούσωσιν τὸν λόγον ⸀εὐθὺς μετὰ χαρᾶς λαμβάνουσιν αὐτόν, | Et hi sunt similiter, qui super petrosa seminantur: qui cum audierint verbum, statim cum gaudio accipiunt illud: | These in the same way are those who are sown on the rocky places, who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with joy. |
| 17 | And they have no root in themselves, but are only for a time: and then when tribulation and persecution ariseth for the word they are presently scandalized. | nhưng họ không đâm rễ mà là những kẻ nông nổi nhất thời; sau đó, khi gặp gian nan hay bị ngược đãi vì lời, họ vấp ngã ngay. | καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν ῥίζαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς ἀλλὰ πρόσκαιροί εἰσιν, εἶτα γενομένης θλίψεως ἢ διωγμοῦ διὰ τὸν λόγον ⸀εὐθὺς σκανδαλίζονται. | et non habent radicem in se, sed temporales sunt: deinde orta tribulatione et persecutione propter verbum, confestim scandalizantur. | They have no root in themselves, but are short-lived. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they stumble. |
| 18 | And others there are who are sown among thorns: these are they that hear the word, | Những kẻ khác là những kẻ được gieo vào bụi gai: đó là những kẻ đã nghe lời, | καὶ ⸀ἄλλοι εἰσὶν οἱ εἰς τὰς ἀκάνθας σπειρόμενοι· ⸂οὗτοί εἰσιν⸃ οἱ τὸν λόγον ⸀ἀκούσαντες, | Et alii sunt qui in spinas seminantur: hi sunt qui verbum audiunt, | Others are those who are sown among the thorns. These are those who have heard the word, |
| 19 | And the cares of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts after other things entering in choke the word, and it is made fruitless. | nhưng những nỗi lo lắng sự đời, bả vinh hoa phú quý cùng những đam mê khác xâm chiếm lòng họ, bóp nghẹt lời khiến lời không sinh hoa kết quả gì. | καὶ αἱ μέριμναι τοῦ ⸀αἰῶνος καὶ ἡ ἀπάτη τοῦ πλούτου καὶ αἱ περὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἐπιθυμίαι εἰσπορευόμεναι συμπνίγουσιν τὸν λόγον, καὶ ἄκαρπος γίνεται. | et ærumnæ sæculi, et deceptio divitiarum, et circa reliqua concupiscentiæ introëuntes suffocant verbum, et sine fructu efficitur. | and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. |
| 20 | And these are they who are sown upon the good ground, who hear the word, and receive it, and yield fruit, the one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred. | Còn những người khác nữa là những người được gieo vào đất tốt: đó là những người nghe lời và đón nhận, rồi sinh hoa kết quả, kẻ thì ba mươi, kẻ thì sáu mươi, kẻ thì một trăm.”Lc 8,16-18 | καὶ ⸀ἐκεῖνοί εἰσιν οἱ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τὴν καλὴν σπαρέντες, οἵτινες ἀκούουσιν τὸν λόγον καὶ παραδέχονται καὶ καρποφοροῦσιν ⸂ἓν τριάκοντα καὶ ἓν ἑξήκοντα καὶ ἓν⸃ ἑκατόν. | Et hi sunt qui super terram bonam seminati sunt, qui audiunt verbum, et suscipiunt, et fructificant, unum triginta, unum sexaginta, et unum centum. | Those which were sown on the good ground are those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times, and some one hundred times.” |
| 21 | And he said to them: Doth a candle come in to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? | Người nói với các ông: “Chẳng lẽ mang đèn tới để đặt dưới cái thùng hay dưới gầm giường? Nào chẳng phải là để đặt trên đế sao? | Καὶ ἔλεγεν ⸀αὐτοῖς· Μήτι ⸂ἔρχεται ὁ λύχνος⸃ ἵνα ὑπὸ τὸν μόδιον τεθῇ ἢ ὑπὸ τὴν κλίνην, οὐχ ἵνα ἐπὶ τὴν λυχνίαν ⸀τεθῇ; | Et dicebat illis: Numquid venit lucerna ut sub modo ponatur, aut sub lecto? nonne ut super candelabrum ponatur? | He said to them, “Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand? |
| 22 | For there is nothing hid, which shall not be made manifest: neither was it made secret, but that it may come abroad. | Vì chẳng có gì che giấu mà không phải là để được tỏ bày, chẳng có gì bí ẩn mà không phải là để đưa ra ánh sáng. | οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ⸀κρυπτὸν ἐὰν μὴ ⸀ἵνα φανερωθῇ, οὐδὲ ἐγένετο ἀπόκρυφον ἀλλ’ ἵνα ⸂ἔλθῃ εἰς φανερόν⸃. | Non est enim aliquid absconditum, quod non manifestetur: nec factum est occultum, sed ut in palam veniat. | For there is nothing hidden except that it should be made known, neither was anything made secret but that it should come to light. |
| 23 | If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. | Ai có tai nghe thì nghe!” | εἴ τις ἔχει ὦτα ἀκούειν ἀκουέτω. | Si quis habet aures audiendi, audiat. | If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.” |
| 24 | And he said to them: Take heed what you hear. In what measure you shall mete, it shall be measured to you again, and more shall be given to you. | Người nói với các ông: “Hãy để ý tới điều anh em nghe. Anh em đong đấu nào, thì Thiên Chúa cũng sẽ đong đấu ấy cho anh em, và còn cho anh em hơn nữa. | καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς· Βλέπετε τί ἀκούετε. ἐν ᾧ μέτρῳ μετρεῖτε μετρηθήσεται ὑμῖν καὶ προστεθήσεται ⸀ὑμῖν. | Et dicebat illis: Videte quid audiatis. In qua mensura mensi fueritis, remetietur vobis, et adjicietur vobis. | He said to them, “Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you; and more will be given to you who hear. |
| 25 | For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, that also which he hath shall be taken away from him. | Vì ai đã có, thì được cho thêm; còn ai không có, thì ngay cái đang có cũng sẽ bị lấy mất.” | ὃς γὰρ ⸀ἔχει, δοθήσεται αὐτῷ· καὶ ὃς οὐκ ἔχει, καὶ ⸀ὃ ἔχει ἀρθήσεται ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ. | Qui enim habet, dabitur illi: et qui non habet, etiam quod habet auferetur ab eo. | For whoever has, to him more will be given; and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.” |
| 26 | And he said: So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the earth, | Người nói: “Chuyện Nước Thiên Chúa thì cũng tựa như chuyện một người vãi hạt giống xuống đất. | Καὶ ἔλεγεν· Οὕτως ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ⸀ὡς ἄνθρωπος βάλῃ τὸν σπόρον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς | Et dicebat: Sic est regnum Dei, quemadmodum si homo jaciat sementem in terram, | He said, “God’s Kingdom is as if a man should cast seed on the earth, |
| 27 | And should sleep, and rise, night and day, and the seed should spring, and grow up whilst he knoweth not. | Đêm hay ngày, người ấy có ngủ hay thức, thì hạt giống vẫn nẩy mầm và mọc lên, bằng cách nào, thì người ấy không biết. | καὶ καθεύδῃ καὶ ἐγείρηται νύκτα καὶ ἡμέραν, καὶ ὁ σπόρος ⸀βλαστᾷ καὶ μηκύνηται ὡς οὐκ οἶδεν αὐτός. | et dormiat, et exsurgat nocte et die, et semen germinet, et increscat dum nescit ille. | and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, though he doesn’t know how. |
| 28 | For the earth of itself bringeth forth fruit, first the blade, then the ear, afterwards the full corn in the ear. | Đất tự động sinh ra hoa màu: trước hết cây lúa mọc lên, rồi trổ đòng đòng, và sau cùng thành bông lúa nặng trĩu hạt. | ⸀αὐτομάτη ἡ γῆ καρποφορεῖ, πρῶτον χόρτον, ⸂εἶτα στάχυν, εἶτα⸃ ⸂πλήρης σῖτον⸃ ἐν τῷ στάχυϊ. | Ultro enim terra fructificat, primum herbam, deinde spicam, deinde plenum frumentum in spica. | For the earth bears fruit by itself: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. |
| 29 | And when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. | Lúa vừa chín, người ấy đem liềm hái ra gặt, vì đã đến mùa.”Mt 13,31-32; Lc 13,18-19 | ὅταν δὲ ⸀παραδοῖ ὁ καρπός, ⸀εὐθὺς ἀποστέλλει τὸ δρέπανον, ὅτι παρέστηκεν ὁ θερισμός. | Et cum produxerit fructus, statim mittit falcem, quoniam adest messis. | But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” |
| 30 | And he said: To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or to what parable shall we compare it? | Rồi Người lại nói: “Chúng ta ví Nước Thiên Chúa với cái gì đây? Lấy dụ ngôn nào mà hình dung được? | Καὶ ἔλεγεν· ⸀Πῶς ὁμοιώσωμεν τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ἢ ἐν ⸀τίνι ⸂αὐτὴν παραβολῇ θῶμεν⸃; | Et dicebat: Cui assimilabimus regnum Dei? aut cui parabolæ comparabimus illud? | He said, “How will we liken God’s Kingdom? Or with what parable will we illustrate it? |
| 31 | It is as a grain of mustard seed: which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth: | Nước Thiên Chúa giống như hạt cải, lúc gieo xuống đất, nó là loại hạt nhỏ nhất trên mặt đất. | ὡς ⸀κόκκῳ σινάπεως, ὃς ὅταν σπαρῇ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ⸂μικρότερον ὂν⸃ πάντων τῶν ⸀σπερμάτων τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς— | Sicut granum sinapis, quod cum seminatum fuerit in terra, minus est omnibus seminibus, quæ sunt in terra: | It’s like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth, |
| 32 | And when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the birds of the air may dwell under the shadow thereof. | Nhưng khi gieo rồi, thì nó mọc lên lớn hơn mọi thứ rau cỏ, cành lá xum xuê, đến nỗi chim trời có thể làm tổ dưới bóng.”Mt 13,34 | καὶ ὅταν σπαρῇ, ἀναβαίνει καὶ γίνεται ⸂μεῖζον πάντων τῶν λαχάνων⸃ καὶ ποιεῖ κλάδους μεγάλους, ὥστε δύνασθαι ὑπὸ τὴν σκιὰν αὐτοῦ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατασκηνοῦν. | et cum seminatum fuerit, ascendit, et fit majus omnibus oleribus, et facit ramos magnos, ita ut possint sub umbra ejus aves cæli habitare. | yet when it is sown, grows up and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow.” |
| 33 | And with many such parables, he spoke to them the word, according as they were able to hear. | Người dùng nhiều dụ ngôn tương tự mà rao giảng lời cho họ, tuỳ theo mức họ có thể nghe. | Καὶ τοιαύταις παραβολαῖς πολλαῖς ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς τὸν λόγον, καθὼς ἠδύναντο ἀκούειν· | Et talibus multis parabolis loquebatur eis verbum, prout poterant audire: | With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it. |
| 34 | And without parable he did not speak unto them; but apart, he explained all things to his disciples. | Người không bao giờ rao giảng cho họ mà không dùng dụ ngôn. | 36 | And sending away the multitude, they take him even as he was in the ship: and there were other ships with him. | Bỏ đám đông ở lại, các ông chở Người đi, vì Người đang ở sãn trên thuyền; có những thuyền khác cùng theo Người. | καὶ ἀφέντες τὸν ὄχλον παραλαμβάνουσιν αὐτὸν ὡς ἦν ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ, καὶ ἄλλα ⸀πλοῖα ἦν μετ’ αὐτοῦ. | Et dimittentes turbam, assumunt eum ita ut erat in navi: et aliæ naves erant cum illo. | Leaving the multitude, they took him with them, even as he was, in the boat. Other small boats were also with him. |
| 37 | And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that the ship was filled. | Và một trận cuồng phong nổi lên, sóng ập vào thuyền, đến nỗi thuyền đầy nước. | καὶ γίνεται λαῖλαψ ⸂μεγάλη ἀνέμου⸃, ⸂καὶ τὰ⸃ κύματα ἐπέβαλλεν εἰς τὸ πλοῖον, ὥστε ⸂ἤδη γεμίζεσθαι τὸ πλοῖον⸃. | Et facta est procella magna venti, et fluctus mittebat in navim, ita ut impleretur navis. | A big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. |
| 38 | And he was in the hinder part of the ship, sleeping upon a pillow; and they awake him, and say to him: Master, doth it not concern thee that we perish? | Trong khi đó, Đức Giê-su đang ở đàng lái, dựa đầu vào chiếc gối mà ngủ. Các môn đệ đánh thức Người dậy và nói: “Thầy ơi, chúng ta chết đến nơi rồi, Thầy chẳng lo gì sao?” | καὶ ⸂αὐτὸς ἦν⸃ ⸀ἐν τῇ πρύμνῃ ἐπὶ τὸ προσκεφάλαιον καθεύδων· καὶ ⸀ἐγείρουσιν αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Διδάσκαλε, οὐ μέλει σοι ὅτι ἀπολλύμεθα; | Et erat ipse in puppi super cervical dormiens: et excitant eum, et dicunt illi: Magister, non ad te pertinet, quia perimus? | He himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and asked him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are dying?” |
| 39 | And rising up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Peace, be still. And the wind ceased: and there was made a great calm. | Người thức dậy, ngăm đe gió, và truyền cho biển: “Im đi! Câm đi!” Gió liền tắt, và biển lặng như tờ. | καὶ διεγερθεὶς ἐπετίμησεν τῷ ἀνέμῳ καὶ εἶπεν τῇ θαλάσσῃ· Σιώπα, πεφίμωσο. καὶ ἐκόπασεν ὁ ἄνεμος, καὶ ἐγένετο γαλήνη μεγάλη. | Et exsurgens comminatus est vento, et dixit mari: Tace, obmutesce. Et cessavit ventus: et facta est tranquillitas magna. | He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was a great calm. |
| 40 | And he said to them: Why are you fearful? have you not faith yet? And they feared exceedingly: and they said one to another: Who is this (thinkest thou) that both wind and sea obey him? | Rồi Người bảo các ông: “Sao nhát thế? Làm sao mà anh em vẫn chưa có lòng tin?” | καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Τί δειλοί ἐστε; ⸀οὔπω ἔχετε πίστιν; | Et ait illis: Quid timidi estis? necdum habetis fidem? et timuerunt timore magno, et dicebant ad alterutrum: Quis, putas, est iste, quia et ventus et mare obediunt ei? | He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?” |
