Don’t let her go. Keep her, for she is your life.
Be not delighted in the paths of the wicked, neither let the way of evil men please thee.Nẻo ác nhân, con chớ đi vào,đường kẻ xấu, con đừng bước tới.ὁδοὺς ἀσεβῶν μὴ ἐπέλθῃς, μηδὲ ζηλώσῃς ὁδοὺς παρανόμων·בְּאֹ֣רַח רְ֭שָׁעִים אַל תָּבֹ֑א וְאַל תְּ֝אַשֵּׁ֗ר בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ רָעִֽיםNe delecteris in semitis impiorum, nec tibi placeat malorum via.Don’t enter into the path of the wicked. Don’t walk in the way of evil men.
Flee from it, pass not by it: go aside, and forsake it.Hãy tránh xa, đừng ngang qua lối ấy,quay lưng lại, tìm lối khác mà đi.ἐν ᾧ ἂν τόπῳ στρατοπεδεύσωσιν, μὴ ἐπέλθῃς ἐκεῖ, ἔκκλινον δὲ ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ παράλλαξον. Avoid it, and don’t pass by it. Turn from it, and pass on.
For they sleep not except they have done evil: and their sleep is taken away unless they have made some to fall.Vì khi chưa làm được điều dữ, ác nhân không tài nào chợp mắt,khi chưa làm cho ai vấp ngã, chúng không thể ngủ yên.οὐ γὰρ μὴ ὑπνώσωσιν, ἐὰν μὴ κακοποιήσωσιν· ἀφῄρηται ὁ ὕπνος αὐτῶν, καὶ οὐ κοιμῶνται·כִּ֤י לֹ֣א יִֽ֭שְׁנוּ אִם לֹ֣א יָרֵ֑עוּ וְֽנִגְזְלָ֥ה שְׁ֝נָתָ֗ם אִם לֹ֥א יכשולו יַכְשִֽׁילוּNon enim dormiunt nisi malefecerint, et rapitur somnus ab eis nisi supplantaverint. For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.
They eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of iniquity.Vì gian ác là bánh chúng ănvà bạo hành là rượu chúng uống.οἵδε γὰρ σιτοῦνται σῖτα ἀσεβείας, οἴνῳ δὲ παρανόμῳ μεθύσκονται. Comedunt panem impietatis, et vinum iniquitatis bibunt. For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.
But the path of the just, as a shining light, goeth forwards and increaseth even to perfect day.Đường người công chính tựa ánh bình minh,rực rỡ thêm cho đến hồi chính ngọ.αἱ δὲ ὁδοὶ τῶν δικαίων ὁμοίως φωτὶ λάμπουσιν, προπορεύονται καὶ φωτίζουσιν ἕως κατορθώσῃ ἡ ἡμέρα. But the path of the righteous is like the dawning light that shines more and more until the perfect day.
The way of the wicked is darksome: they know not where they fall.Còn đường ác nhân khác nào ngõ tối,chúng không biết mình sẽ vấp vào đâu.αἱ δὲ ὁδοὶ τῶν ἀσεβῶν σκοτειναί, οὐκ οἴδασιν πῶς προσκόπτουσιν. Via impiorum tenebrosa; nesciunt ubi corruant. The way of the wicked is like darkness. They don’t know what they stumble over.

Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from thy eyes, keep them in the midst of thy heart:đừng để mắt rời xa lời thầy,nhưng hãy luôn gìn giữ ở tận đáy lòng con.ὅπως μὴ ἐκλίπωσίν σε αἱ πηγαί σου, φύλασσε αὐτὰς ἐν καρδίᾳ·אַל יַלִּ֥יזוּ מֵעֵינֶ֑יךָ שָׁ֝מְרֵ֗ם בְּת֣וֹךְ לְבָבֶֽךָNe recedant ab oculis tuis: custodi ea in medio cordis tui:Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart.
For they are life to those that find them, and health to all flesh.Vì lời thầy là sức sống cho ai tìm thấylàm cho toàn thân được mạnh khoẻ an lành.ζωὴ γάρ ἐστιν τοῖς εὑρίσκουσιν αὐτήν, καὶ πάσῃ σαρκὶ ἴασις. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body.
With all watchfulness keep thy heart, because life issueth out from it.Hãy gìn giữ tim con cho thật kỹ,vì từ đó mà sự sống phát sinh.πάσῃ φυλακῇ τήρει σὴν καρδίαν· ἐκ γὰρ τούτων ἔξοδοι ζωῆς. Omni custodia serva cor tuum, quia ex ipso vita procedit.Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.
Remove from thee a froward mouth, and let detracting lips be far from thee. Remove a te os pravum, et detrahentia labia sint procul a te.Put away from yourself a perverse mouth. Put corrupt lips far from you.
Let thy eyes look straight on, and let thy eyelids go before thy steps.Đôi mắt con, hãy nhìn ngay phía trước,ánh mắt con, hướng thẳng trước mặt con.οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου ὀρθὰ βλεπέτωσαν, τὰ δὲ βλέφαρά σου νευέτω δίκαια. Oculi tui recta videant, et palpebræ tuæ præcedant gressus tuos.Let your eyes look straight ahead. Fix your gaze directly before you.
Make straight the path for thy feet, and all thy ways shall be established.Đường con đi, hãy san cho phẳng,ước chi mọi nẻo con bước được an toàn.ὀρθὰς τροχιὰς ποίει σοῖς ποσίν, καὶ τὰς ὁδούς σου κατεύθυνε. Dirige semitam pedibus tuis, et omnes viæ tuæ stabilientur.Make the path of your feet level. Let all of your ways be established.
Decline not to the right hand, nor to the left: turn away thy foot from evil. For the Lord knoweth the ways that are on the right hand: but those are perverse which are on the left hand. But he will make thy courses straight, he will bring forward thy ways in peace.Đừng quanh bên phải, chớ quẹo bên trái,cố giữ chân con khỏi điều xấu xa.μὴ ἐκκλίνῃς εἰς τὰ δεξιὰ μηδὲ εἰς τὰ ἀριστερά, ἀπόστρεψον δὲ σὸν πόδα ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ κακῆς. Ne declines ad dexteram neque ad sinistram; averte pedem tuum a malo: vias enim quæ a dextris sunt novit Dominus: perversæ vero sunt quæ a sinistris sunt.
