He beholdeth under all the heavens, and his light is upon the ends of the earth. Subter omnes cælos ipse considerat, et lumen illius super terminos terræ.He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
After it a noise shall roar, he shall thunder with the voice of his majesty, and shall not be found out, when his voice shall be heard.Phía sau Người, một tiếng gầm vang dội,Người nổi sấm, dõng dạc oai hùng. After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
God shall thunder wonderfully with his voice, he that doth great and unsearchable things. Tonabit Deus in voce sua mirabiliter, qui facit magna et inscrutabilia;God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.
He commandeth the snow to go down upon the earth, and the winter rain, and the shower of his strength. כִּ֤י לַשֶּׁ֨לַג יֹאמַ֗ר הֱוֵ֫א אָ֥רֶץ וְגֶ֥שֶׁם מָטָ֑ר וְ֝גֶ֗שֶׁם מִטְר֥וֹת עֻזּֽוֹqui præcipit nivi ut descendat in terram, et hiemis pluviis, et imbri fortitudinis suæ;For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
He sealeth up the hand of all men, that every one may know his works. בְּיַד כָּל אָדָ֥ם יַחְתּ֑וֹם לָ֝דַ֗עַת כָּל אַנְשֵׁ֥י מַעֲשֵֽׂהוּqui in manu omnium hominum signat, ut noverint singuli opera sua.He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.
Then the beast shall go into his covert, and shall abide in his den. Ingredietur bestia latibulum, et in antro suo morabitur. Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.
Out of the inner parts shall a tempest come, and cold out of the north.Từ phương nam, gió lốc ào ào thổivà từ phương bắc gió lạnh tràn về.ἐκ ταμείων ἐπέρχονται ὀδύναι, ἀπὸ δὲ ἀκρωτηρίων ψῦχος. Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.
When God bloweth there cometh frost, and again the waters are poured out abundantly. Flante Deo, concrescit gelu, et rursum latissimæ funduntur aquæ.By the breath of God, ice is given, and the width of the waters is frozen.
Corn desireth clouds, and the clouds spread their light:Người dùng hơi nước tạo thành mây,và từ mây, Người làm cho chớp loé.καὶ ἐκλεκτὸν καταπλάσσει νεφέλη. Frumentum desiderat nubes, et nubes spargunt lumen suum.Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
Which go round about, whithersoever the will of him that governeth them shall lead them, to whatsoever he shall command them upon the face of the whole earth:Mây lang thang, xoay đủ mọi chiều,theo đúng chương trình Người hoạch định,để trên toàn cõi đất chúng thực thi mọi lệnh Người truyền.καὶ αὐτὸς κυκλώματα διαστρέψει, ἐν θεεβουλαθὼθ εἰς ἔργα αὐτῶν· πάντα ὅσα ἂν ἐντείληται αὐτοῖς, ταῦτα συντέτακται παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς,וְה֤וּא מְסִבּ֨וֹת מִתְהַפֵּ֣ךְ בתחבולתו בְּתַחְבּוּלֹתָ֣יו לְפָעֳלָ֑ם כֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְצַוֵּ֓ם עַל פְּנֵ֖י תֵבֵ֣ל אָֽרְצָהQuæ lustrant per circuitum, quocumque eas voluntas gubernantis duxerit, ad omne quod præceperit illis super faciem orbis terrarum:It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
Whether in one tribe, or in his own land, or in what place soever of his mercy he shall command them to be found.Người sai mây đi, có khi để trừng phạt, có khi nhằm giáng phúc.ἐάν εἰς παιδείαν, ἐὰν εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ, ἐὰν εἰς ἔλεος εὑρήσει αὐτόν.אִם לְשֵׁ֥בֶט אִם לְאַרְצ֑וֹ אִם לְ֝חֶ֗סֶד יַמְצִאֵֽהוּsive in una tribu, sive in terra sua, sive in quocumque loco misericordiæ suæ eas jusserit inveniri.whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.
Hearken to these things, Job: Stand, and consider the wondrous works of God.Này ông Gióp, xin hãy lắng tai nghe, bao kỳ công của Thiên Chúa,ông hãy đứng lên và ngắm xem cho kỹ.ἐνωτίζου ταῦτα, Ἰώβ· στῆθι, νουθετούμενος δύναμιν Κυρίου. Ausculta hæc, Job: sta, et considera mirabilia Dei.“Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Dost thou know when God commanded the rains, to shew his light of his clouds? Numquid scis quando præceperit Deus pluviis, ut ostenderent lucem nubium ejus?Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?
Knowest thou the great paths of the clouds, and the perfect knowledges?Và liệu ông có biết làm sao mây lơ lửng được giữa trời,há đó chẳng phải là kỳ công của bậc thầy uyên bác?ἐπίσταται δὲ διάκρισιν νεφῶν, ἐξαίσια δὲ πτώματα πονηρῶν. Numquid nosti semitas nubium magnas, et perfectas scientias?Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
Are not thy garments hot, when the south wind blows upon the earth?Này, khi xứ sở im lìm dưới ngọn gió nam, khiến áo quần của ông nên quá nóng,σοῦ δὲ ἡ στολὴ θερμή· ἡσυχάζεται δὲ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. You whose clothing is warm when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?
Thou perhaps hast made the heavens with him, which are most strong, as if they were of molten brass.thì liệu ông có làm được như Người là cán cho mây dẹp lạinhư tấm gương bằng kim loại cứng được không?στερεώσεις μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς παλαιώματα, ἰσχυραὶ ὡς ὅρασις ἐπιχύσεως. Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
Shew us what we may say to him: for we are wrapped up in darkness. Ostende nobis quid dicamus illi: nos quippe involvimur tenebris.Teach us what we will tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.
Who shall tell him the things I speak? even if a man shall speak, he shall be swallowed up.Lời tôi nói, liệu có ai thuật lại cho Người?Có ai lên tiếng nói, liệu Người có được thông báo chăng?μὴ βίβλος ἢ γραμματεύς μοι παρέστηκεν, ἵνα ἄνθρωπον ἑστηκὼς κατασιωπήσω;הַֽיְסֻפַּר ל֭וֹ כִּ֣י אֲדַבֵּ֑ר אִֽם אָ֥מַר אִ֝֗ישׁ כִּ֣י יְבֻלָּֽע Will it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
But now they see not the light: the air on a sudden shall be thickened into clouds, and the wind shall pass and drive them away. At nunc non vident lucem: subito aër cogetur in nubes, et ventus transiens fugabit eas.Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.
Cold cometh out of the north, and to God praise with fear.và từ phương bắc, xuất hiện một vừng sáng huy hoàng. Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.
We cannot find him worthily: he is great in strength, and in judgment, and in justice, and he is ineffable. We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
Therefore men shall fear him, and all that seem to themselves to be wise, shall not dare to behold him.Vì thế, mọi phàm nhân đều kính sợ Người. Ideo timebunt eum viri, et non audebunt contemplari omnes qui sibi videntur esse sapientes.]Therefore men revere him.
