2Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee: for I have yet somewhat to speak in God’s behalf. כַּתַּר לִ֣י זְ֭עֵיר וַאֲחַוֶּ֑ךָּ כִּ֤י ע֖וֹד לֶאֱל֣וֹהַּ מִלִּֽים[Sustine me paululum, et indicabo tibi: adhuc enim habeo quod pro Deo loquar.“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
3I will repeat my knowledge from the beginning, and I will prove my Maker just.Tôi sẽ dùng hiểu biết thời xa xưa truyền lạiđể biện minh cho Đấng dựng nên tôi.ἀναλαβὼν τὴν ἐπιστήμην μου μακράν, ἔργοις δέ μου δίκαια ἐρῶ ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείαςאֶשָּׂ֣א דֵ֭עִי לְמֵרָח֑וֹק וּ֝לְפֹעֲלִ֗י אֶֽתֵּֽן צֶֽדֶקRepetam scientiam meam a principio, et operatorem meum probabo justum.I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

5God doth not cast away the mighty, whereas he himself also is mighty.Này, Thiên Chúa toàn năng chẳng khinh thường ai cả,Người toàn năng, trí tuệ khôn lường.γίγνωσκε δὲ ὅτι ὁ κύριος οὐ μὴ ἀποποιήσηται τὸν ἄκακον, δυνατὸς ἰσχύι καρδίαςהֶן אֵ֣ל כַּ֭בִּיר וְלֹ֣א יִמְאָ֑ס כַּ֝בִּ֗יר כֹּ֣חַֽ לֵֽבDeus potentes non abjicit, cum et ipse sit potens:“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. 8And if they shall be in chains, and be bound with the cords of poverty:nên đã bị xiềng xích gông cùm,bị trói buộc trong lầm than khốn quẫn.καὶ οἱ πεπεδημένοι ἐν χειροπέδαις συσχεθήσονται ἐν σχοινίοις πενίας·וְאִם אֲסוּרִ֥ים בַּזִּקִּ֑ים יִ֝לָּכְד֗וּן בְּחַבְלֵי עֹֽנִיEt si fuerint in catenis, et vinciantur funibus paupertatis,If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,

10He also shall open their ear, to correct them: and shall speak, that they may return from iniquity. He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
11If they shall hear and observe, they shall accomplish their days in good, and their years in glory.Nếu họ lắng nghe và tuân giữ,ngày đời của họ sẽ dư đầy hạnh phúc,tháng năm của họ sẽ chan chứa niềm vui.ἐὰν ἀκούσωσιν καὶ δουλεύσωσιν, συντελέσουσιν τὰς ἡμέρας αὐτῶν ἐν ἀγαθοῖς, καὶ τὰ ἔτη αὐτῶν ἐν εὐπρεπείαις.אִֽם יִשְׁמְע֗וּ וְֽיַ֫עֲבֹ֥דוּ יְכַלּ֣וּ יְמֵיהֶ֣ם בַּטּ֑וֹב וּ֝שְׁנֵיהֶ֗ם בַּנְּעִימִֽיםSi audierint et observaverint, complebunt dies suos in bono, et annos suos in gloria:If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

15He shall deliver the poor out of his distress, and shall open his ear in affliction. Eripiet de angustia sua pauperem, et revelabit in tribulatione aurem ejus.He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
16Therefore he shall set thee at large out of the narrow mouth, and which hath no foundation under it: and the rest of thy table shall be full of fatness.Cũng thế, Người sẽ kéo ông khỏi cảnh khốn cùng,cho ông được an nhàn, hết bị tù túng.Bàn ăn của ông sẽ đầy cao lương mỹ vị.καὶ προσεπιηπάτησέν σε ἐκ στόματος ἐχθροῦ ἄβυσσος, κατάχυσις ὑποκάτω αὐτῆς, καὶ κατέβη τράπεζά σου πλήρης πιότητος. Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction.
