1Job also added, taking up his parable, and said:Ông Gióp tiếp tục ngâm nga như sau:Ἔτι δὲ προσθεὶς Ἰὼβ εἶπεν τῷ προοιμίῳוַיֹּ֣סֶף אִ֭יּוֹב שְׂאֵ֥ת מְשָׁל֗וֹ וַיֹּאמַֽרAddidit quoque Job, assumens parabolam suam, et dixit:Job again took up his parable, and said,
2Who will grant me, that I might be according to the months past, according to the days in which God kept me?Ai sẽ làm cho tôi được như những tháng năm thuở trước,như những ngày Thiên Chúa giữ gìn tôi,Τίς ἄν με θείη κατὰ μῆνα ἔμπροσθεν ἡμερῶν ὧν με ὁ θεὸς ἐφύλαξεν;מִֽי יִתְּנֵ֥נִי כְיַרְחֵי קֶ֑דֶם כִּ֝ימֵ֗י אֱל֣וֹהַּ יִשְׁמְרֵֽנִי[Quis mihi tribuat ut sim juxta menses pristinos, secundum dies quibus Deus custodiebat me?“Oh that I were as in the months of old, as in the days when God watched over me;
3When his lamp shined over my head, and I walked by his light in darkness?khi trên đầu tôi, đèn Người chiếu sáng,khi trong bóng đêm, tôi bước đi theo ánh sáng của Người,ὡς ὅτε ηὔγει ὁ λύχνος αὐτοῦ ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς μου, ὅτε τῷ φωτὶ αὐτοῦ ἐπορευόμην ἐν σκότει·בְּהִלּ֣וֹ נֵ֭רוֹ עֲלֵ֣י רֹאשִׁ֑י לְ֝אוֹרוֹ אֵ֣לֶךְ חֹֽשֶׁךְQuando splendebat lucerna ejus super caput meum, et ad lumen ejus ambulabam in tenebris:when his lamp shone on my head, and by his light I walked through darkness,
4As I was in the days of my youth, when God was secretly in my tabernacle?như những ngày mùa thu thịnh vượng,khi Thiên Chúa bảo vệ lều tôi ở,ὅτε ἤμην ἐπιβρίθων ὁδούς, ὅτε ὁ θεὸς ἐπισκοπὴν ἐποιεῖτο τοῦ οἴκου μου·כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר הָ֭יִיתִי בִּימֵ֣י חָרְפִּ֑י בְּס֥וֹד אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ עֲלֵ֣י אָהֳלִֽיsicut fui in diebus adolescentiæ meæ, quando secreto Deus erat in tabernaculo meo:as I was in my prime, when the friendship of God was in my tent,
5When the Almighty was with me: and my servants round about me?khi Đấng Toàn Năng còn ở với tôivà bên cạnh, các con trai tôi quây quần,ὅτε ἤμην ὑλώδης λίαν, κύκλῳ δέ μου οἱ παῖδες·בְּע֣וֹד שַׁ֭דַּי עִמָּדִ֑י סְבִ֖יבוֹתַ֣י נְעָרָֽיquando erat Omnipotens mecum, et in circuitu meo pueri mei:when the Almighty was yet with me, and my children were around me,
6When I washed my feet with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil?khi tôi rửa chân trong sữa chua, khi đá tiết ra dầu cho tôi như suối.ὅτε ἐχέοντο αἱ ὁδοί μου βουτύρῳ, τὰ δὲ ὄρη μου ἐχέοντο γάλακτι·בִּרְחֹ֣ץ הֲלִיכַ֣י בְּחֵמָ֑ה וְצ֥וּר יָצ֥וּק עִ֝מָּדִ֗י פַּלְגֵי שָֽׁמֶןquando lavabam pedes meos butyro, et petra fundebat mihi rivos olei:when my steps were washed with butter, and the rock poured out streams of oil for me,
7When I went out to the gate of the city, and in the street they prepared me a chair? בְּצֵ֣אתִי שַׁ֣עַר עֲלֵי קָ֑רֶת בָּ֝רְח֗וֹב אָכִ֥ין מוֹשָׁבִֽיquando procedebam ad portam civitatis, et in platea parabant cathedram mihi.when I went out to the city gate, when I prepared my seat in the street.
8The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the old men rose up and stood.vừa thấy tôi, các thanh niên lẩn trốn,các vị cao niên nhổm dậy đứng lên,ἰδόντες με νεανίσκοι ἐκρύβησαν, πρεσβῦται δὲ πάντες ἔστησαν·רָא֣וּנִי נְעָרִ֣ים וְנֶחְבָּ֑אוּ וִֽ֝ישִׁישִׁים קָ֣מוּ עָמָֽדוּVidebant me juvenes, et abscondebantur: et senes assurgentes stabant. The young men saw me and hid themselves. The aged rose up and stood.
9The princes ceased to speak, and laid the finger on their mouth.các thủ lãnh ngừng nói, và lấy tay che miệng;ἁδροὶ δὲ ἐπαύσαντο λαλοῦντες, δάκτυλον ἐπιθέντες ἐπὶ στόματι. Principes cessabant loqui, et digitum superponebant ori suo.The princes refrained from talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
10The rulers held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to their throat.các vị lãnh đạo đều lặng lẽ làm thinh, lưỡi dính chặt với hàm.οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐμακάρισάν με, καὶ γλῶσσα αὐτῶν τῷ λάρυγγι αὐτῶν ἐκολλήθη·קוֹל נְגִידִ֥ים נֶחְבָּ֑אוּ וּ֝לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם לְחִכָּ֥ם דָּבֵֽקָהVocem suam cohibebant duces, et lingua eorum gutturi suo adhærebat. The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.
11The ear that heard me blessed me, and the eye that saw me gave witness to me:Quả thật, tai nào đã nghe, cũng đều khen tôi có phúc,mắt nào đã thấy, thảy đều làm chứng cho tôi.ὅτι οὖς ἤκουσεν καὶ ἐμακάρισέν με, ὀφθαλμὸς δὲ ἰδών με ἐξέκλινεν. Auris audiens beatificabat me, et oculus videns testimonium reddebat mihi:For when the ear heard me, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw me, it commended me,
21They that heard me, waited for my sentence, and being attentive held their peace at my counsel.Họ nghe tôi nói và chờ đợi, chăm chú theo dõi ý kiến của tôi.ἐμοῦ ἀκούσαντες προσέσχον, ἐσιώπησαν δὲ ἐπὶ τῇ ἐμῇ βουλῇ·לִֽי שָׁמְע֥וּ וְיִחֵ֑לּוּ וְ֝יִדְּמ֗וּ לְמ֣וֹ עֲצָתִֽיQui me audiebant, expectabant sententiam, et intenti tacebant ad consilium meum.“Men listened to me, waited, and kept silence for my counsel.
12Because I had delivered the poor man that cried out; and the fatherless that had no helper.Bởi vì tôi giải thoát người nghèo khổ kêu cầu,và trẻ mồ côi không ai giúp đỡ.διέσωσα γὰρ πτωχὸν ἐκ χειρὸς δυνάστου, καὶ ὀρφανῷ ᾧ οὐκ ἦν βοηθὸς ἐβοήθησα·כִּֽי אֲ֭מַלֵּט עָנִ֣י מְשַׁוֵּ֑עַ וְ֝יָת֗וֹם וְֽלֹא עֹזֵ֥ר לֽוֹeo quod liberassem pauperem vociferantem, et pupillum cui non esset adjutor.because I delivered the poor who cried, and the fatherless also, who had no one to help him,
22To my words they durst add nothing, and my speech dropped upon them.Tôi nói xong, không một ai cãi lại,lời tôi nói như giọt mưa thánh thót.ἐπὶ τῷ ἐμῷ ῥήματι οὐ προσέθεντο, περιχαρεῖς δὲ ἐγίνοντο ὁπόταν αὐτοῖς ἐλάλουν·אַחֲרֵ֣י דְ֭בָרִי לֹ֣א יִשְׁנ֑וּ וְ֝עָלֵ֗ימוֹ תִּטֹּ֥ף מִלָּתִֽיVerbis meis addere nihil audebant, et super illos stillabat eloquium meum. After my words they didn’t speak again. My speech fell on them.
13The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me, and I comforted the heart of the widow.Tôi được người hấp hối chúc lành,tôi đem lại niềm vui cho lòng goá phụ.εὐλογία ἀπολλυμένου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἔλθοι, στόμα δὲ χήρας με εὐλόγησεν. Benedictio perituri super me veniebat, et cor viduæ consolatus sum.the blessing of him who was ready to perish came on me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
23They waited for me as for rain, and they opened their mouth as for a latter shower.Họ chờ đợi tôi như chờ đợi mưa rào,mở miệng ra như để đón mưa xuân.ὥσπερ γῆ διψῶσα προσδεχομένη τὸν ὑετόν, οὕτως οὗτοι τὴν ἐμὴν λαλιάν. Expectabant me sicut pluviam, et os suum aperiebant quasi ad imbrem serotinum. They waited for me as for the rain. Their mouths drank as with the spring rain.
14I was clad with justice: and I clothed myself with my judgment, as with a robe and a diadem.Tôi đã mặc lấy đức công chính như áo che thân,lấy lẽ công minh làm mũ đội đầu và áo khoác.δικαιοσύνην δὲ ἐνδεδύκειν, ἠμφιασάμην δὲ κρίμα ἴσα διπλοίδι.צֶ֣דֶק לָ֭בַשְׁתִּי וַיִּלְבָּשֵׁ֑נִי כִּֽמְעִ֥יל וְ֝צָנִ֗יף מִשְׁפָּטִֽיJustitia indutus sum, et vestivi me, sicut vestimento et diademate, judicio meo.I put on righteousness, and it clothed me. My justice was as a robe and a diadem.
24If at any time I laughed on them, they believed not, and the light of my countenance fell not on earth.Họ chẳng dám tin, dù tôi có mỉm cười với họ,nét mặt tôi thay đổi thế nào, họ chẳng bỏ qua.ἐὰν γελάσω πρὸς αὐτούς, οὐ μὴ πιστεύσωσιν· καὶ φῶς τοῦ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἀπέπιπτεν.אֶשְׂחַ֣ק אֲ֭לֵהֶם לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֑ינוּ וְא֥וֹר פָּ֝נַ֗י לֹ֣א יַפִּילֽוּןSiquando ridebam ad eos, non credebant: et lux vultus mei non cadebat in terram.I smiled on them when they had no confidence. They didn’t reject the light of my face.
15I was an eye to the blind, and a foot to the lame.Tôi nên mắt cho kẻ mù loà, thành chân cho người què quặt.ὀφθαλμὸς ἤμην τυφλῶν, ποὺς δὲ χωλῶν. Oculus fui cæco, et pes claudo.I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame.
25If I had a mind to go to them, I sat first, and when I sat as a king, with his army standing about him, yet I was a comforter of them that mourned.Tôi vẽ đường chỉ lối và hướng dẫn họ,sống với họ như vua ở giữa ba quân,như người ủi an những kẻ ưu sầu.ἐξελεξάμην ὁδὸν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκάθισα ἄρχων, καὶ κατεσκήνουν ὡσεὶ βασιλεὺς ἐν μονοζώνοις, ὃν τρόπον παθεινοὺς παρακαλῶν.אֶֽבֲחַ֣ר דַּרְכָּם֮ וְאֵשֵׁ֪ב רֹ֥אשׁ וְ֭אֶשְׁכּוֹן כְּמֶ֣לֶךְ בַּגְּד֑וּד כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אֲבֵלִ֣ים יְנַחֵֽםSi voluissem ire ad eos, sedebam primus: cumque sederem quasi rex, circumstante exercitu, eram tamen mœrentium consolator.]I chose out their way, and sat as chief. I lived as a king in the army, as one who comforts the mourners.
16I was the father of the poor: and the cause which I knew not, I searched out most diligently.Tôi là cha của người nghèo túng, tôi xử kiện cho người xa lạ.ἐγὼ ἤμην πατὴρ ἀδυνάτων, δίκην δὲ ἣν οὐκ ᾔδειν ἐξιχνίασα·אָ֣ב אָ֭נֹכִֽי לָֽאֶבְיוֹנִ֑ים וְרִ֖ב לֹא יָדַ֣עְתִּי אֶחְקְרֵֽהוּPater eram pauperum, et causam quam nesciebam diligentissime investigabam.I was a father to the needy. I researched the cause of him whom I didn’t know.
17I broke the jaws of the wicked man, and out of his teeth I took away the prey.Tôi bẻ gãy răng kẻ bất công, và giật mồi khỏi nanh vuốt nó.συνέτριψα δὲ μύλας ἀδίκων· ἐκ μέσου τῶν ὀδόντων αὐτῶν ἅρπαγμα ἐξήρπασα. Conterebam molas iniqui, et de dentibus illius auferebam prædam.I broke the jaws of the unrighteous and plucked the prey out of his teeth.
18And I said: I shall die in my nest, and as a palm tree shall multiply my days.Bấy giờ tôi tự nhủ: “Tôi sẽ chết trong tổ ấm của tôi,và gia tăng tuổi thọ như chim bằng.εἶπα δέ Ἡ ἡλικία μου γηράσει· ὥσπερ στέλεχος φοίνικος, πολὺν χρόνον βιώσω·וָ֭אֹמַר עִם קִנִּ֣י אֶגְוָ֑ע וְ֝כַח֗וֹל אַרְבֶּ֥ה יָמִֽיםDicebamque: In nidulo meo moriar, et sicut palma multiplicabo dies. Then I said, ‘I will die in my own house, I will count my days as the sand.
19My root is opened beside the waters, and dew shall continue in my harvest.Rễ của tôi lan ra tận nguồn nước,sương đêm đọng lại trên cành lá của tôi.ἡ ῥίζα διήνοικται ἐπὶ ὕδατος, καὶ δρόσος αὐλισθήσεται ἐν τῷ θερισμῷ μου·שָׁרְשִׁ֣י פָת֣וּחַ אֱלֵי מָ֑יִם וְ֝טַ֗ל יָלִ֥ין בִּקְצִירִֽיRadix mea aperta est secus aquas, et ros morabitur in messione mea.My root is spread out to the waters. The dew lies all night on my branch.
20My glory shall always be renewed, and my bow in my hand shall be repaired. Gloria mea semper innovabitur, et arcus meus in manu mea instaurabitur. My glory is fresh in me. My bow is renewed in my hand.’
