| 1 | Then came the daughters of Salphaad, the son of Hepher, the son of Galaad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasses, who was the son of Joseph: and their names are Maala, and Noa, and Hegla, and Melcha, and Thersa. | Bấy giờ các con gái của ông Xơ-lóp-khát tiến đến. Ông này là con ông Khê-phe, cháu ông Ga-la-át, chắt ông Ma-khia, chít ông Mơ-na-se, thuộc chi tộc ông Giu-se. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. |
| 2 | And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the people at the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and said: | Họ đứng trước mặt ông Mô-sê, trước mặt tư tế E-la-da, trước mặt các thủ lãnh và toàn thể cộng đồng, ở cửa Lều Hội Ngộ, và nói: | καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν | וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֜דְנָה לִפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה וְלִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֥י הַנְּשִׂיאִ֖ם וְכָל הָעֵדָ֑ה פֶּ֥תַח אֹֽהֶל מוֹעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹֽר | Steteruntque coram Moyse et Eleazaro sacerdote et cunctis principibus populi ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis, atque dixerunt: | They stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying, |
| 3 | Our father died in the desert, and was not in the sedition, that was raised against the Lord under Core, but he died in his own sin: and he had no male children. Why is his name taken away out of his family, because he had no son? Give us a possession among the kinsmen of our father. | “Cha chúng tôi đã mất trong sa mạc. Người đã không có chân trong nhóm những kẻ toa rập với nhau chống lại ĐỨC CHÚA, tức là nhóm Cô-rắc. Chỉ vì tội riêng mình mà người đã mất đi, khi chưa có con trai. | Ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ, καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι Κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κόρε· ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν, καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ. | אָבִינוּ֮ מֵ֣ת בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ וְה֨וּא לֹא הָיָ֜ה בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעֵדָ֗ה הַנּוֹעָדִ֛ים עַל יְהוָ֖ה בַּעֲדַת קֹ֑רַח כִּֽי בְחֶטְא֣וֹ מֵ֔ת וּבָנִ֖ים לֹא הָ֥יוּ לֽוֹ | Pater noster mortuus est in deserto, nec fuit in seditione, quæ concitata est contra Dominum sub Core, sed in peccato suo mortuus est: hic non habuit mares filios. Cur tollitur nomen illius de familia sua, quia non habuit filium? date nobis possessionem inter cognatos patris nostri. | “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah, but he died in his own sin. He had no sons. |
| 4 | And Moses referred their cause to the judgment of the Lord. | Tại sao cha chúng tôi lại bị xoá tên khỏi thị tộc của người, vì người không có con trai? Xin cho chúng tôi một phần đất giữa các anh em của cha chúng tôi.” | μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός· δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν. | לָ֣מָּה יִגָּרַ֤ע שֵׁם אָבִ֨ינוּ֙ מִתּ֣וֹךְ מִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בֵּ֑ן תְּנָה לָּ֣נוּ אֲחֻזָּ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽינוּ | Retulitque Moyses causam earum ad judicium Domini. | Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.” |
| 5 | And the Lord said to him: | Ông Mô-sê trình lên ĐỨC CHÚA trường hợp của họ. | καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι Κυρίου. | וַיַּקְרֵ֥ב מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה | Qui dixit ad eum: | Moses brought their cause before the LORD. |
| 6 | The daughters of Salphaad demand a just thing: Give them a possession among their father’s kindred, and let them succeed him in his inheritance. | ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê: | καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων | וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר | Justam rem postulant filiæ Salphaad: da eis possessionem inter cognatos patris sui, et ei in hæreditatem succedant. | The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, |
| 7 | And to the children of Israel thou shalt speak these things: | “Các con gái của Xơ-lóp-khát nói có lý. Ngươi phải cho chúng một phần đất làm gia nghiệp giữa các anh em của cha chúng; ngươi sẽ chuyển cho chúng gia nghiệp của cha chúng. | Ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπαὰδ λελαλήκασιν· δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς. | כֵּ֗ן בְּנ֣וֹת צְלָפְחָד֮ דֹּבְרֹת֒ נָתֹ֨ן תִּתֵּ֤ן לָהֶם֙ אֲחֻזַּ֣ת נַחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֲחֵ֣י אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְהַֽעֲבַרְתָּ֛ אֶת נַחֲלַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ן לָהֶֽן | Ad filios autem Israël loqueris hæc: | “The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them. |
| 8 | When a man dieth without a son, his inheritance shall pass to his daughter. | Và ngươi sẽ nói với con cái Ít-ra-en: ‘Khi một người nào chết mà không có con trai, thì anh em sẽ chuyển gia nghiệp của người đó cho con gái người đó. | καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ λαλήσεις λέγων Ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ἦν αὐτῷ, περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ· | וְאֶל בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ כִּֽי יָמ֗וּת וּבֵן֙ אֵ֣ין ל֔וֹ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתֶּ֥ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְבִתּֽוֹ | Homo cum mortuus fuerit absque filio, ad filiam ejus transibit hæreditas. | You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter. |
| 9 | If he have no daughter, his brethren shall succeed him. | Nếu người đó không có con gái, anh em sẽ trao gia nghiệp cho anh em của người đó. | ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ· | וְאִם אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ בַּ֑ת וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לְאֶחָיו | Si filiam non habuerit, habebit successores fratres suos. | If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers. |
| 10 | And if he have no brethren, you shall give the inheritance to his father’s brethren. | Nếu người đó không có anh em, thì sẽ trao gia nghiệp cho anh em của cha người đó. | ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ· | וְאִם אֵ֥ין ל֖וֹ אַחִ֑ים וּנְתַתֶּ֥ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֖וֹ לַאֲחֵ֥י אָבִֽיו | Quod si et fratres non fuerint, dabitis hæreditatem fratribus patris ejus. | If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. |
| 11 | But if he have no uncles by the father, the inheritance shall be given to them that are the next akin. And this shall be to the children of Israel sacred by a perpetual law, as the Lord hath commanded Moses. | Còn nếu cha người đó không có anh em, thì sẽ trao gia nghiệp cho thân nhân gần nhất trong thị tộc; người này sẽ làm chủ gia nghiệp đó.’ Đối với con cái Ít-ra-en, đó sẽ là một quy tắc pháp lý, như ĐỨC CHÚA đã truyền cho ông Mô-sê.” | ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ· κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως, καθὰ συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ. | וְאִם אֵ֣ין אַחִים֮ לְאָבִיו֒ וּנְתַתֶּ֣ם אֶת נַחֲלָת֗וֹ לִשְׁאֵר֞וֹ הַקָּרֹ֥ב אֵלָ֛יו מִמִּשְׁפַּחְתּ֖וֹ וְיָרַ֣שׁ אֹתָ֑הּ וְֽהָ֨יְתָ֜ה לִבְנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְחֻקַּ֣ת מִשְׁפָּ֔ט כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת מֹשֶֽׁה | Sin autem nec patruos habuerit, dabitur hæreditas his qui ei proximi sunt. Eritque hoc filiis Israël sanctum lege perpetua, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi. | If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and ordinance for the children of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.’” |
| 12 | The Lord also said to Moses: Go up into this mountain Abarim, and view from thence the land which I will give to the children of Israel. | ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê: “Ngươi hãy lên ngọn núi kia của dãy A-va-rim, và hãy nhìn xem miền đất mà Ta ban cho con cái Ít-ra-en. | Καὶ εἶπεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν Ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν, τοῦτο τὸ ὄρος Ναβαύ, καὶ ἴδε τὴν γῆν Χανάαν, ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰσραὴλ ἐν κατασχέσει· | וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל מֹשֶׁ֔ה עֲלֵ֛ה אֶל הַ֥ר הָעֲבָרִ֖ים הַזֶּ֑ה וּרְאֵה֙ אֶת הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל | Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen: Ascende in montem istum Abarim, et contemplare inde terram, quam daturus sum filiis Israël. | The LORD said to Moses, “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel. |
| 13 | And when thou shalt have seen it, thou also shalt go to thy people, as thy brother Aaron is gone: | Khi đã nhìn xem rồi, ngươi cũng sẽ về sum họp với gia tiên, như A-ha-ron anh ngươi, | καὶ ὄψει αὐτήν, καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ, καθὰ προσετέθη Ἀαρὼν ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν τῷ Ὣρ τῷ ὄρει· | וְרָאִ֣יתָה אֹתָ֔הּ וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ֥ אֶל עַמֶּ֖יךָ גַּם אָ֑תָּה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר נֶאֱסַ֖ף אַהֲרֹ֥ן אָחִֽיךָ | Cumque videris eam, ibis et tu ad populum tuum, sicut ivit frater tuus Aaron: | When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered; |
| 14 | Because you offended me in the desert of Sin in the contradiction of the multitude, neither would you sanctify me before them at the waters. These are the waters of contradiction in Cades of the desert of Sin. | vì ở sa mạc Xin, trong lúc cộng đồng chống đối Ta, các ngươi đã chống lại lệnh Ta truyền làm cho nước chảy ra để tỏ bày sự thánh thiện của Ta trước mắt chúng. Đó là vụ nước Mơ-ri-va ở Ca-đê, trong sa mạc Xin.” | διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σείν, ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγήν, ἁγιάσαι με· οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν, τοῦτο ἔστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας ἐν Καδὴς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σείν. | כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ מְרִיתֶ֨ם פִּ֜י בְּמִדְבַּר צִ֗ן בִּמְרִיבַת֙ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה לְהַקְדִּישֵׁ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֛ם מֵֽי מְרִיבַ֥ת קָדֵ֖שׁ מִדְבַּר צִֽן | quia offendistis me in deserto Sin in contradictione multitudinis, nec sanctificare me voluistis coram ea super aquas. Hæ sunt aquæ contradictionis in Cades deserti Sin. | because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.) |
| 15 | And Moses answered him: | Ông Mô-sê thưa với ĐỨC CHÚA: | καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς Κύριον | וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר | Cui respondit Moyses: | Moses spoke to the LORD, saying, |
| 16 | May the Lord the God of the spirits of all flesh provide a man, that may be over this multitude: | “Ước gì ĐỨC CHÚA, là Thiên Chúa ban sinh khí cho mọi xác phàm, đặt một người lãnh đạo cộng đồng. | Ἐπισκεψάσθω Κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης, | יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהוָ֔ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הָרוּחֹ֖ת לְכָל בָּשָׂ֑ר אִ֖ישׁ עַל הָעֵדָֽה | Provideat Dominus Deus spirituum omnis carnis hominem, qui sit super multitudinem hanc: | “Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation, |
| 17 | And may go out and in before them, and may lead them out, or bring them in: lest the people of the Lord be as sheep without a shepherd. | Người ấy sẽ ra vào trước họ và dẫn họ ra vào, để cộng đồng của ĐỨC CHÚA đừng giống như đàn chiên không có mục tử chăn dắt.” | ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν, καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὃστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ Κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν. | אֲשֶׁר יֵצֵ֣א לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר יָבֹא֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹצִיאֵ֖ם וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יְבִיאֵ֑ם וְלֹ֤א תִהְיֶה֙ עֲדַ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה כַּצֹּ֕אן אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין לָהֶ֖ם רֹעֶֽה | et possit exire et intrare ante eos, et educere eos vel introducere: ne sit populus Domini sicut oves absque pastore. | who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, that the congregation of the LORD may not be as sheep which have no shepherd.” |
| 18 | And the Lord said to him: Take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and put thy hand upon him. | ĐỨC CHÚA phán với ông Mô-sê: “Ngươi hãy đem theo Giô-suê, con của Nun, là người có thần khí nơi mình, và ngươi sẽ đặt tay trên nó. | καὶ ἐλάλησεν Κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων Λάβε πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυή, ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ, καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν· | וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל מֹשֶׁ֗ה קַח לְךָ֙ אֶת יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן נ֔וּן אִ֖ישׁ אֲשֶׁר ר֣וּחַ בּ֑וֹ וְסָמַכְתָּ֥ אֶת יָדְךָ֖ עָלָֽיו | Dixitque Dominus ad eum: Tolle Josue filium Nun, virum in quo est spiritus, et pone manum tuam super eum. | The LORD said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him. |
| 19 | And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest and all the multitude: | Ngươi sẽ cho nó đứng trước mặt tư tế E-la-da và trước mặt toàn thể cộng đồng. Ngươi sẽ truyền lệnh cho nó trước mắt chúng. | καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ἐλεαζὰρ τοῦ ἱερέως, καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς, καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν· | וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֣ אֹת֗וֹ לִפְנֵי֙ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָּל הָעֵדָ֑ה וְצִוִּיתָ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם | Qui stabit coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni multitudine: | Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight. |
| 20 | And thou shalt give him precepts in the sight of all, and part of thy glory, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may hear him. | Ngươi sẽ chia cho nó một phần uy quyền của ngươi, để toàn thể cộng đồng con cái Ít-ra-en nghe lời nó. | καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραήλ. | וְנָתַתָּ֥ה מֵהֽוֹדְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו לְמַ֣עַן יִשְׁמְע֔וּ כָּל עֲדַ֖ת בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל | et dabis ei præcepta cunctis videntibus, et partem gloriæ tuæ, ut audiat eum omnis synagoga filiorum Israël. | You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey. |
| 21 | If any thing be to be done, Eleazar the priest shall consult the Lord for him. He and all the children of Israel with him, and the rest of the multitude shall go out and go in at his word. | Nó sẽ đứng trước mặt tư tế E-la-da. Tư tế sẽ đến trước nhan ĐỨC CHÚA mà xin thẻ xăm u-rim cho nó. Ad verbum ejus egredietur et ingredietur ipse, et omnes filii Israël cum eo, et cetera multitudo. | He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.” |

He took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. |
| 23 | And laying his hands on his head, he repeated all things that the Lord had commanded. | Ông đặt tay trên ông Giô-suê và ra lệnh cho ông ấy như ĐỨC CHÚA đã dùng ông Mô-sê mà phán. | καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν, καὶ συνέστησεν αὐτόν, καθάπερ συνέταξεν Κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ. | וַיִּסְמֹ֧ךְ אֶת יָדָ֛יו עָלָ֖יו וַיְצַוֵּ֑הוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד מֹשֶֽׁה | Et impositis capiti ejus manibus, cuncta replicavit quæ mandaverat Dominus. | He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the LORD spoke by Moses. |
