He may turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal offering and a drink offering to the LORD, your God. |

Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly. |

Sanctify the assembly. Assemble the elders. Gather the children, and those who nurse from breasts. Let the bridegroom go out of his room, and the bride out of her chamber. |
| 17 | Between the porch and the altar the priests the Lord’s ministers shall weep, and shall say: Spare, O Lord, spare thy people: and give not thy inheritance to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them. Quare dicunt in populis: Ubi est Deus eorum?] | Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare your people, LORD, and don’t give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. | 19 | And the Lord answered and said to his people: Behold I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and you shall be filled with them: and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations. | ĐỨC CHÚA đã trả lời cho dân, Người phán:“Này đây Ta gửi đến các ngươilúa mì, rượu mới và dầu tươi,để các ngươi được no nê thoả thích.Ta sẽ không còn để các ngươiphải nhục nhã ê chề giữa các dân ngoại. | καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Κύριος καὶ εἶπεν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω ὑμῖν τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὸν οἶνον καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον, καὶ ἐμπλησθήσεσθε αὐτῶν, καὶ οὐ δώσω ὑμᾶς οὐκέτι εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσι· | וַיַּ֨עַן יְהוָ֜ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְעַמּ֗וֹ הִנְנִ֨י שֹׁלֵ֤חַ לָכֶם֙ אֶת הַדָּגָן֙ וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר וּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֖ם אֹת֑וֹ וְלֹא אֶתֵּ֨ן אֶתְכֶ֥ם ע֛וֹד חֶרְפָּ֖ה בַּגּוֹיִֽם | Et respondit Dominus, et dixit populo suo: Ecce ego mittam vobis frumentum, et vinum, et oleum, et replebimini eis; et non dabo vos ultra opprobrium in gentibus. | The LORD answered his people, “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations. |
| 20 | And I will remove far off from you the northern enemy: and I will drive him into a land unpassable, and desert, with his face towards the east sea, and his hinder part towards the utmost sea: and his stench shall ascend, and his rottenness shall go up, because he hath done proudly. | Địch thù từ phương bắc, Ta sẽ đẩy chúng xa các ngươi,đuổi chúng vào miền đất khô cằn hoang vắng:tiền quân chúng sẽ bị xô xuống Biển Đông,còn hậu quân thì sa vào Biển Tây.Mùi hôi thối xông lên, mùi tanh hôi nồng nặc.”(Quả thật, chúng đã từng làm mưa làm gió). | καὶ τὸν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ἐκδιώξω ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν καὶ ἐξώσω αὐτὸν εἰς γῆν ἄνυδρον, καὶ ἀφανιῶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν πρώτην, καὶ τὰ ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ἐσχάτην· καὶ ἀναβήσεται σαπρία αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἀναβήσεται ὁ βρόμος αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἐμεγάλυνεν τὰ ἔργα αὐτοῦ. | וְֽאֶת הַצְּפוֹנִ֞י אַרְחִ֣יק מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֗ם וְהִדַּחְתִּיו֮ אֶל אֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֣ה וּשְׁמָמָה֒ אֶת פָּנָ֗יו אֶל הַיָּם֙ הַקַּדְמֹנִ֔י וְסֹפ֖וֹ אֶל הַיָּ֣ם הָאַֽחֲר֑וֹן וְעָלָ֣ה בָאְשׁ֗וֹ וְתַ֨עַל֙ צַחֲנָת֔וֹ כִּ֥י הִגְדִּ֖יל לַעֲשֽׂוֹת | Et eum qui ab aquilone est procul faciam a vobis, et expellam eum in terram inviam et desertam: faciem ejus contra mare orientale, et extremum ejus ad mare novissimum: et ascendet fœtor ejus, et ascendet putredo ejus, quia superbe egit. | But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things. |
| 21 | Fear not, O land, be glad and rejoice: for the Lord hath done great things. | Hỡi đất đai, đừng sợ, hãy hoan hỷ vui mừng,vì ĐỨC CHÚA đã làm những việc lớn lao. | θάρσει, γῆ, χαῖρε καὶ εὐφραίνου, ὅτι ἐμεγάλυνεν Κύριος τοῦ ποιῆσαι. | אַל תִּֽירְאִ֖י אֲדָמָ֑ה גִּ֣ילִי וּשְׂמָ֔חִי כִּֽי הִגְדִּ֥יל יְהוָ֖ה לַעֲשֽׂוֹת | Noli timere, terra: exsulta, et lætare, quoniam magnificavit Dominus ut faceret. | Land, don’t be afraid. Be glad and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. |
| 22 | Fear not, ye beasts of the fields: for the beautiful places of the wilderness are sprung, for the tree hath brought forth its fruit, the fig tree, and the vine have yielded their strength. | Hỡi thú vật ngoài đồng, chớ sợ,vì đồng cỏ trong hoang địa lại xanh tươi,cây cối đơm hoa kết trái, cây vả, cây nho cho quả dồi dào. | θαρσεῖτε, κτήνη τοῦ πεδίου, ὅτι βεβλάστηκεν πεδία τῆς ἐρήμου, ὅτι ξύλον ἤνεγκεν τὸν καρπὸν αὐτοῦ, συκῆ καὶ ἄμπελος ἔδωκαν τὴν ἰσχὺν αὐτῶν. | אַל תִּֽירְאוּ֙ בַּהֲמ֣וֹת שָׂדַ֔י כִּ֥י דָשְׁא֖וּ נְא֣וֹת מִדְבָּ֑ר כִּֽי עֵץ֙ נָשָׂ֣א פִרְי֔וֹ תְּאֵנָ֥ה וָגֶ֖פֶן נָתְנ֥וּ חֵילָֽם | Nolite timere, animalia regionis, quia germinaverunt speciosa deserti; quia lignum attulit fructum suum, ficus et vinea dederunt virtutem suam. | Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness spring up, for the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. |
| 23 | And you, O children of Sion, rejoice, and be joyful in the Lord your God: because he hath given you a teacher of justice, and he will make the early and the latter rain to come down to you as in the beginning. | Hỡi con cái Xi-on, hãy vui mừng hoan hỷvì ĐỨC CHÚA, Thiên Chúa của anh em,chính Người đã ban cho anh em mưa đầu mùabởi vì Người thành tín.Người cũng cho mưa rào đổ xuống trên anh em,mưa đầu mùa và mưa cuối mùa như thuở trước. | καὶ τὰ τέκνα Σειών, χαίρετε καὶ εὐφραίνεσθε ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ὑμῶν, διότι ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν τὰ βρώματα εἰς δικαιοσύνην, καὶ βρέξει ὑμῖν ὑετὸν πρόιμον καὶ ὄψιμον καθὼς ἔμπροσθεν, | וּבְנֵ֣י צִיּ֗וֹן גִּ֤ילוּ וְשִׂמְחוּ֙ בַּיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם כִּֽי נָתַ֥ן לָכֶ֛ם אֶת הַמּוֹרֶ֖ה לִצְדָקָ֑ה וַיּ֣וֹרֶד לָכֶ֗ם גֶּ֛שֶׁם מוֹרֶ֥ה וּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ בָּרִאשֽׁוֹן | Et, filii Sion, exsultate, et lætamini in Domino Deo vestro, quia dedit vobis doctorem justitiæ, et descendere faciet ad vos imbrem matutinum et serotinum, sicut in principio. | “Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before. |
| 24 | And the floors shall be filled with wheat, and the presses shall overflow with wine and oil. | Lúa mì đầy ắp sân, rượu mới, dầu tươi tràn bể chứa. | καὶ πλησθήσονται αἱ ἅλωνες σίτου, καὶ ὑπερχυθήσονται αἱ ληνοὶ οἴνου καὶ ἐλαίου. | וּמָלְא֥וּ הַגֳּרָנ֖וֹת בָּ֑ר וְהֵשִׁ֥יקוּ הַיְקָבִ֖ים תִּיר֥וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָֽר | Et implebuntur areæ frumento, et redundabunt torcularia vino et oleo. | The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. |
| 25 | And I will restore to you the ears which the locust, and the bruchus, and the mildew, and the palmerworm have eaten; my great host which I sent upon you. | “Ta sẽ bù lại cho các ngươinhững năm mất mùa vì sạt sành và hoàng trùng,cào cào và châu chấu: đó là đạo binh lớnchính Ta sai đến đánh phạt các ngươi. | καὶ ἀνταποδώσει ὑμῖν ἀντὶ τῶν ἐτῶν ὧν κατέφαγεν ἡ ἀκρὶς καὶ ὁ βροῦχος καὶ ἡ ἐρυσίβη καὶ ἡ κάμπη, ἡ δύναμίς μου ἡ μεγάλη ἣν ἐξαπέστειλα εἰς ὑμᾶς· | וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ אֶת הַשָּׁנִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר֙ אָכַ֣ל הָֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה הַיֶּ֖לֶק וְהֶחָסִ֣יל וְהַגָּזָ֑ם חֵילִי֙ הַגָּד֔וֹל אֲשֶׁ֥ר שִׁלַּ֖חְתִּי בָּכֶֽם | Et reddam vobis annos, quos comedit locusta, bruchus, et rubigo, et eruca: fortitudo mea magna quam misi in vos. | I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. |
| 26 | And you shall eat in plenty, and shall be filled: and you shall praise the name of the Lord your God, who hath done wonders with you, and my people shall not be confounded for ever. | Các ngươi sẽ được ăn no nê thoả thích,và sẽ ca tụng danh ĐỨC CHÚA là Thiên Chúa các ngươi,Đấng đã làm cho các ngươi bao việc lạ lùng,và dân Ta sẽ chẳng bao giờ xấu hổ nữa. | καὶ φάγεσθε ἐσθίοντες καὶ ἐμπλησθήσεσθε, καὶ αἰνέσετε τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν, ἃ ἐποίησεν μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰς θαυμάσια, καὶ οὐ μὴ καταισχυνθῇ ὁ λαός μου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα· | וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אָכוֹל֙ וְשָׂב֔וֹעַ וְהִלַּלְתֶּ֗ם אֶת שֵׁ֤ם יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂ֥ה עִמָּכֶ֖ם לְהַפְלִ֑יא וְלֹא יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ עַמִּ֖י לְעוֹלָֽם | Et comedetis vescentes, et saturabimini; et laudabitis nomen Domini Dei vestri, qui fecit mirabilia vobiscum; et non confundetur populus meus in sempiternum. | You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied, and will praise the name of the LORD, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed. |
| 27 | And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: and I am the Lord your God, and there is none besides: and my people shall not be confounded for ever. | Các ngươi sẽ biết rằng giữa Ít-ra-en, có Ta hiện diện,Ta là ĐỨC CHÚA, Thiên Chúa các ngươi,không có chúa nào khác.Và dân Ta sẽ chẳng bao giờ xấu hổ nữa.” | καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ ἐγὼ Κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἔτι πλὴν ἐμοῦ, καὶ οὐ μὴ καταισχυνθῶσιν ἔτι ὁ λαός μου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. | וִידַעְתֶּ֗ם כִּ֣י בְקֶ֤רֶב יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אָ֔נִי וַאֲנִ֛י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם וְאֵ֣ין ע֑וֹד וְלֹא יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ עַמִּ֖י לְעוֹלָֽם | Et scietis quia in medio Israël ego sum, et ego Dominus Deus vester, et non est amplius; et non confundetur populus meus in æternum.] | You will know that I am among Israel, and that I am the LORD, your God, and there is no one else; and my people will never again be disappointed. |
| 28 | And it shall come to pass after this, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy: your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. | — | Καὶ ἔσται μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ ἐκχεῶ ἀπὸ τοῦ πνεύματός μου ἐπὶ πᾶσαν σάρκα, καὶ προφητεύσουσιν οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες ὑμῶν, καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι ὑμῶν ἐνύπνια ἐνυπνιασθήσονται, καὶ οἱ νεανίσκοι ὑμῶν ὁράσεις ὄψονται· | — | [Et erit post hæc: effundam spiritum meum super omnem carnem, et prophetabunt filii vestri et filiæ vestræ: senes vestri somnia somniabunt, et juvenes vestri visiones videbunt. | “It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. |
| 29 | Moreover upon my servants and handmaids in those days I will pour forth my spirit. | — | καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς δούλους μου καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς δούλας ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἐκχεῶ ἀπὸ τοῦ πνεύματός μου· | — | Sed et super servos meos et ancillas in diebus illis effundam spiritum meum. | And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit. |
| 30 | And I will shew wonders in heaven; and in earth, blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. | — | καὶ δώσω τέρατα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αἷμα καὶ πῦρ καὶ ἀτμίδα καπνοῦ· | — | Et dabo prodigia in cælo et in terra, sanguinem, et ignem, et vaporem fumi. | I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke. |
| 31 | The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood: before the great and dreadful day of the Lord doth come. | — | ὁ ἥλιος μεταστραφήσεται εἰς σκότος καὶ ἡ σελήνη εἰς αἷμα πρὶν ἐλθεῖν ἡμέραν Κυρίου τὴν μεγάλην καὶ ἐπιφανῆ· | — | Sol convertetur in tenebras, et luna in sanguinem, antequam veniat dies Domini magnus et horribilis. | The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. |
| 32 | And it shall come to pass, that every one that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved: for in mount Sion, and in Jerusalem shall be salvation, as the Lord hath said, and in the residue whom the Lord shall call. | — | καὶ ἔσται πᾶς ὃς ἂν ἐπικαλέσηται τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου σωθήσεται· ὅτι ἐν τῷ ὄρει Σειὼν καὶ ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἔσται ἀνασωζόμενος, καθότι εἶπεν Κύριος, καὶ εὐαγγελιζόμενοι οὓς Κύριος προσκέκληται. | — | Et erit: omnis qui invocaverit nomen Domini, salvus erit: quia in monte Sion et in Jerusalem erit salvatio, sicut dixit Dominus, et in residuis quos Dominus vocaverit.] | It will happen that whoever will call on the LORD’s name shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the LORD has said, and among the remnant, those whom the LORD calls. |
