| 3 | For if thou shalt call for wisdom, and incline thy heart to prudence: | phải, nếu con cầu xin trí thông minh, van nài ơn hiểu biết, | ἐὰν γὰρ τὴν σοφίαν ἐπικαλέσῃ καὶ τῇ συνέσει δῷς φωνήν σου, | כִּ֤י אִ֣ם לַבִּינָ֣ה תִקְרָ֑א לַ֝תְּבוּנָ֗ה תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלֶֽךָ | Si enim sapientiam invocaveris, et inclinaveris cor tuum prudentiæ; | yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding; |
| 4 | If thou shalt seek her as money, and shalt dig for her as for a treasure: | nếu con tìm khôn ngoan như tìm bạc,và lùng kiếm như thể kho tàng, | καὶ ἐὰν ζητήσῃς αὐτὴν ὡς ἀργύριον καὶ ὡς θησαυροὺς ἐξεραυνήσῃς αὐτήν· | אִם תְּבַקְשֶׁ֥נָּה כַכָּ֑סֶף וְֽכַמַּטְמוֹנִ֥ים תַּחְפְּשֶֽׂנָּה | si quæsieris eam quasi pecuniam, et sicut thesauros effoderis illam: | if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; |
| 5 | Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and shalt find the knowledge of God. | thì lúc đó con sẽ hiểu thế nào là kính sợ ĐỨC CHÚA,và sẽ khám phá ra hiểu biết Thiên Chúa có nghĩa là gì. | τότε συνήσεις φόβον Κυρίου, καὶ ἐπίγνωσιν θεοῦ εὑρήσεις. | אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין יִרְאַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְדַ֖עַת אֱלֹהִ֣ים תִּמְצָֽא | tunc intelliges timorem Domini, et scientiam Dei invenies, | then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. |
| 6 | Because the Lord giveth wisdom: and out of his mouth cometh prudence and knowledge. | Vì chính ĐỨC CHÚA ban tặng khôn ngoan;tri thức và hiểu biết là nhờ Người mà có. | ὅτι Κύριος δίδωσιν σοφίαν, καὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ γνῶσις καὶ σύνεσις· | כִּֽי יְ֭הוָה יִתֵּ֣ן חָכְמָ֑ה מִ֝פִּ֗יו דַּ֣עַת וּתְבוּנָֽה | quia Dominus dat sapientiam, et ex ore ejus prudentia et scientia. | For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. |
| 7 | He will keep the salvation of the righteous, and protect them that walk in simplicity. | Ai ngay chính được Người trợ lực,Người thành khiên thuẫn cho kẻ sống thanh liêm, | καὶ θησαυρίζει τοῖς κατορθοῦσι σωτηρίαν, ὑπερασπιεῖ τὴν πορείαν αὐτῶν | וצפן יִצְפֹּ֣ן לַ֭יְשָׁרִים תּוּשִׁיָּ֑ה מָ֝גֵ֗ן לְהֹ֣לְכֵי תֹֽם | Custodiet rectorum salutem, et proteget gradientes simpliciter, | He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, |
| 8 | Keeping the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of saints. | giữ gìn đường nẻo người chính trực,bảo vệ lối đi kẻ tín trung. | τοῦ φυλάξαι ὁδοὺς δικαιωμάτων, καὶ ὁδὸν εὐλαβουμένων αὐτὸν διαφυλάξει. ⸆ | לִ֭נְצֹר אָרְח֣וֹת מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְדֶ֖רֶךְ חסידו חֲסִידָ֣יו יִשְׁמֹֽר | servans semitas justitiæ, et vias sanctorum custodiens. | that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints. |
| 9 | Then shalt thou understand justice, and judgment, and equity, and every good path. | Bấy giờ con sẽ hiểu thế nào là công bằng,thế nào là chính trực công minh:đó là đường đưa tới hạnh phúc. | τότε συνήσεις δικαιοσύνην καὶ κρίμα, καὶ κατορθώσεις πάντας ἄξονας ἀγαθούς. | אָ֗ז תָּ֭בִין צֶ֣דֶק וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּ֝מֵישָׁרִ֗ים כָּל מַעְגַּל טֽוֹב | Tunc intelliges justitiam, et judicium, et æquitatem, et omnem semitam bonam.] | Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. |
| 10 | If wisdom shall enter into thy heart, and knowledge please thy soul: | Vì khôn ngoan sẽ vào tận lòng con,và tri thức khiến hồn con vui thú, | ἐὰν γὰρ ἔλθῃ ἡ σοφία εἰς σὴν διάνοιαν, ἡ δὲ αἴσθησις τῇ σῇ ψυχῇ καλὴ εἶναι δόξῃ, | כִּֽי תָב֣וֹא חָכְמָ֣ה בְלִבֶּ֑ךָ וְ֝דַ֗עַת לְֽנַפְשְׁךָ֥ יִנְעָֽם | [Si intraverit sapientia cor tuum, et scientia animæ tuæ placuerit, | For wisdom will enter into your heart. Knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. |
| 11 | Counsel shall keep thee, and prudence shall preserve thee, | óc thận trọng sẽ giữ gìn con,trí hiểu biết sẽ như người bảo vệ, | βουλὴ καλὴ φυλάξει σε, ἔννοια δὲ ὁσία τηρήσει σε· | מְ֭זִמָּה תִּשְׁמֹ֥ר עָלֶ֗יךָ תְּבוּנָ֥ה תִנְצְרֶֽכָּה | consilium custodiet te, et prudentia servabit te: | Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you, |
| 12 | That thou mayst be delivered from the evil way, and from the man that speaketh perverse things: | để giải thoát con khỏi lối sống xấu xa,cứu con khỏi người nói những lời xằng bậy, | ἵνα ῥύσηταί σε ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ κακῆς καὶ ἀπὸ ἀνδρὸς λαλοῦντος μηδὲν πιστόν. | לְ֭הַצִּ֣ילְךָ מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ רָ֑ע מֵ֝אִ֗ישׁ מְדַבֵּ֥ר תַּהְפֻּכֽוֹת | ut eruaris a via mala, et ab homine qui perversa loquitur; | to deliver you from the way of evil, from the men who speak perverse things, |
| 13 | Who leave the right way, and walk by dark ways: | khỏi những kẻ bỏ đường ngay chính, đi vào nẻo tối tăm; | ὦ οἱ ἐγκαταλείποντες ὁδοὺς εὐθείας τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ὁδοῖς σκότους, | הַ֭עֹ֣זְבִים אָרְח֣וֹת יֹ֑שֶׁר לָ֝לֶ֗כֶת בְּדַרְכֵי חֹֽשֶׁךְ | qui relinquunt iter rectum, et ambulant per vias tenebrosas; | who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness, |
| 14 | Who are glad when they have done evil, and rejoice in most wicked things: | chúng hả hê khi phạm điều ác,thích thú khi làm điều tồi tệ xấu xa. | οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐπὶ κακοῖς καὶ χαίροντες ἐπὶ διαστροφῇ κακῇ, | הַ֭שְּׂמֵחִים לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת רָ֑ע יָ֝גִ֗ילוּ בְּֽתַהְפֻּכ֥וֹת רָֽע | qui lætantur cum malefecerint, et exsultant in rebus pessimis; | who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perverseness of evil, |
| 15 | Whose ways are perverse, and their steps infamous. | Đường chúng đầy uẩn khúc, lối chúng thật quanh co. | ὧν αἱ τρίβοι σκολιαὶ καὶ καμπύλαι αἱ τροχιαὶ αὐτῶν, | אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָרְחֹתֵיהֶ֣ם עִקְּשִׁ֑ים וּ֝נְלוֹזִ֗ים בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתָֽם | quorum viæ perversæ sunt, et infames gressus eorum. | who are crooked in their ways, and wayward in their paths, |
| 16 | That thou mayst be delivered from the strange women, and from the stranger, who softeneth her words: | Nhờ thế, con sẽ thoát khỏi người đàn bà trắc nết,khỏi người phụ nữ không quen cứ nói ngon nói ngọt. | τοῦ μακράν σε ποιῆσαι ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ εὐθείας καὶ ἀλλότριον τῆς δικαίας γνώμης. υἱέ, μή σε καταλάβῃ κακὴ βουλή, | לְ֭הַצִּ֣ילְךָ מֵאִשָּׁ֣ה זָרָ֑ה מִ֝נָּכְרִיָּ֗ה אֲמָרֶ֥יהָ הֶחֱלִֽיקָה | Ut eruaris a muliere aliena, et ab extranea quæ mollit sermones suos, | to deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words, |
| 17 | And forsaketh the guide of her youth, | Người bạn đường thời son trẻ, ả đã bỏ rơi,giao ước của Thiên Chúa, ả hằng quên lãng. | ἡ ἀπολείπουσα διδασκαλίαν νεότητος, καὶ διαθήκην θείαν ἐπιλελησμένη. | הַ֭עֹזֶבֶת אַלּ֣וּף נְעוּרֶ֑יהָ וְאֶת בְּרִ֖ית אֱלֹהֶ֣יהָ שָׁכֵֽחָה | et relinquit ducem pubertatis suæ, | who forsakes the friend of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God; |
| 18 | And hath forgotten the covenant of her God: for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths to hell. | Nhà nó ở nghiêng về cõi chết,lối nó đi, dẫn tới các âm hồn. | ἔθετο γὰρ παρὰ τῷ θανάτῳ τὸν οἶκον αὐτῆς, καὶ παρὰ τῷ ᾅδῃ μετὰ τῶν γηγενῶν τοὺς ἄξονας αὐτῆς· | כִּ֤י שָׁ֣חָה אֶל מָ֣וֶת בֵּיתָ֑הּ וְאֶל רְ֝פָאִ֗ים מַעְגְּלֹתֶֽיהָ | et pacti Dei sui oblita est. Inclinata est enim ad mortem domus ejus, et ad inferos semitæ ipsius. | for her house leads down to death, her paths to the departed spirits. |
| 19 | None that go in unto her shall return again, neither shall they take hold of the paths of life, | Kẻ theo nó rồi, không hề trở lại,chẳng ai tìm được đường về cõi sống. | πάντες οἱ πορευόμενοι ἐν αὐτῇ οὐκ ἀναστρέψουσιν οὐδὲ μὴ καταλάβωσιν τρίβους εὐθείας· οὐ γὰρ καταλαμβάνονται ὑπὸ ἐνιαυτῶν ζωῆς. | כָּל בָּ֭אֶיהָ לֹ֣א יְשׁוּב֑וּן וְלֹֽא יַ֝שִּׂ֗יגוּ אָרְח֥וֹת חַיִּֽים | Omnes qui ingrediuntur ad eam non revertentur, nec apprehendent semitas vitæ. | None who go to her return again, neither do they attain to the paths of life. |
| 20 | That thou mayst walk in a good way: and mayst keep the paths of the just. | Như thế con sẽ bước đi trên đường người lương thiện,và dõi theo lối của chính nhân. | εἰ γὰρ ἐπορεύοντο τρίβους ἀγαθάς, εὕροσαν ἂν τρίβους δικαιοσύνης λείους. | לְמַ֗עַן תֵּ֭לֵךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ טוֹבִ֑ים וְאָרְח֖וֹת צַדִּיקִ֣ים תִּשְׁמֹֽר | Ut ambules in via bona, et calles justorum custodias: | Therefore walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. |
| 21 | For they that are upright shall dwell in the earth, and the simple shall continue in it. | Vì người ngay thẳng sẽ được an cư trong đất nước,người hoàn thiện sẽ lưu lại nơi đây. | ὅτι εὐθεῖς κατασκηνώσουσι γῆν, καὶ ὅσιοι ὑπολειφθήσονται ἐν αὐτῇ· | כִּֽי יְשָׁרִ֥ים יִשְׁכְּנוּ אָ֑רֶץ וּ֝תְמִימִ֗ים יִוָּ֥תְרוּ בָֽהּ | qui enim recti sunt habitabunt in terra, et simplices permanebunt in ea; | For the upright will dwell in the land. The perfect will remain in it. |
| 22 | But the wicked shall be destroyed from the earth: and they that do unjustly shall be taken away from it. | Còn ác nhân sẽ phải xa lìa quê cha đất tổ,phường bất trung sẽ bị trục xuất khỏi quê hương. | ὁδοὶ ἀσεβῶν ἐκ γῆς ὀλοῦνται, οἱ δὲ παράνομοι ἐξωσθήσονται ἀπ᾽ αὐτῆς. | וּ֭רְשָׁעִים מֵאֶ֣רֶץ יִכָּרֵ֑תוּ וּ֝בוֹגְדִ֗ים יִסְּח֥וּ מִמֶּֽנָּה | impii vero de terra perdentur, et qui inique agunt auferentur ex ea.] | But the wicked will be cut off from the land. The treacherous will be rooted out of it. |
