| 7 | But which of you having a servant ploughing, or feeding cattle, will say to him, when he is come from the field: Immediately go, sit down to meat: | “Ai trong anh em có người đầy tớ đi cày hay đi chăn chiên, mà khi nó ở ngoài đồng về, lại bảo nó: ‘Mau vào ăn cơm đi’, | Τίς δὲ ἐξ ὑμῶν δοῦλον ἔχων ἀροτριῶντα ἢ ποιμαίνοντα, ὃς εἰσελθόντι ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐρεῖ ⸀αὐτῷ· Εὐθέως παρελθὼν ἀνάπεσε, | Quis autem vestrum habens servum arantem aut pascentem, qui regresso de agro dicat illi: Statim transi, recumbe: | But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table’? |
| 8 | And will not rather say to him: Make ready my supper, and gird thyself, and serve me, whilst I eat and drink, and afterwards thou shalt eat and drink? | chứ không bảo: ‘Hãy dọn cơm cho ta ăn, thắt lưng hầu bàn cho ta ăn uống xong đã, rồi anh hãy ăn uống sau!’? | ἀλλ’ οὐχὶ ἐρεῖ αὐτῷ· Ἑτοίμασον τί δειπνήσω καὶ περιζωσάμενος διακόνει μοι ἕως φάγω καὶ πίω, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα φάγεσαι καὶ πίεσαι σύ; | et non dicat ei: Para quod cœnem, et præcinge te, et ministra mihi donec manducem, et bibam, et post hæc tu manducabis, et bibes? | Wouldn’t he rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’? |
| 9 | Doth he thank that servant, for doing the things which he commanded him? | Chẳng lẽ ông chủ lại biết ơn đầy tớ vì nó đã làm theo lệnh truyền sao? | μὴ ⸂ἔχει χάριν⸃ τῷ ⸀δούλῳ ὅτι ἐποίησεν τὰ ⸀διαταχθέντα; | Numquid gratiam habet servo illi, quia fecit quæ ei imperaverat? | Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not. |

So you also, when you shall have done all these things that are commanded you, say: We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which we ought to do. | Đối với anh em cũng vậy: khi đã làm tất cả những gì theo lệnh phải làm, thì hãy nói: Chúng tôi là những đầy tớ vô dụng, chúng tôi đã chỉ làm việc bổn phận đấy thôi.” | οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς, ὅταν ποιήσητε πάντα τὰ διαταχθέντα ὑμῖν, λέγετε ὅτι Δοῦλοι ἀχρεῖοί ἐσμεν, ⸂ὃ ὠφείλομεν⸃ ποιῆσαι πεποιήκαμεν. | non puto. We have done our duty.’” |

| 13 | And lifted up their voice, saying: Jesus, master, have mercy on us. | và kêu lớn tiếng: “Lạy Thầy Giê-su, xin rủ lòng thương chúng tôi!” | καὶ αὐτοὶ ἦραν φωνὴν λέγοντες· Ἰησοῦ ἐπιστάτα, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς. | et levaverunt vocem, dicentes: Jesu præceptor, miserere nostri. | They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” |
| 14 | Whom when he saw, he said: Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were made clean. | Thấy vậy, Đức Giê-su bảo họ: “Hãy đi trình diện với các tư tế.” Đang khi đi thì họ được sạch. | καὶ ἰδὼν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Πορευθέντες ἐπιδείξατε ἑαυτοὺς τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν. καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ὑπάγειν αὐτοὺς ἐκαθαρίσθησαν. | Quos ut vidit, dixit: Ite, ostendite vos sacerdotibus. Et factum est, dum irent, mundati sunt. | When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed. |
| 15 | And one of them, when he saw that he was made clean, went back, with a loud voice glorifying God. | Một người trong bọn, thấy mình được khỏi, liền quay trở lại và lớn tiếng tôn vinh Thiên Chúa. | εἷς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν, ἰδὼν ὅτι ἰάθη, ὑπέστρεψεν μετὰ φωνῆς μεγάλης δοξάζων τὸν θεόν, | Unus autem ex illis, ut vidit quia mundatus est, regressus est, cum magna voce magnificans Deum, | One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice. |
| 16 | And he fell on his face before his feet, giving thanks: and this was a Samaritan. | Anh ta sấp mình dưới chân Đức Giê-su mà tạ ơn. Anh ta lại là người Sa-ma-ri. | καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον παρὰ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ εὐχαριστῶν αὐτῷ· καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν Σαμαρίτης. | et cecidit in faciem ante pedes ejus, gratias agens: et hic erat Samaritanus. | He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan. |

Thế thì chín người kia đâu? | ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· ⸀Οὐχὶ οἱ δέκα ἐκαθαρίσθησαν; οἱ δὲ ἐννέα ποῦ; | Respondens autem Jesus, dixit: Nonne decem mundati sunt? et novem ubi sunt? | Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine? |
| 18 | There is no one found to return and give glory to God, but this stranger. | Sao không thấy họ trở lại tôn vinh Thiên Chúa, mà chỉ có người ngoại bang này?” | οὐχ εὑρέθησαν ὑποστρέψαντες δοῦναι δόξαν τῷ θεῷ εἰ μὴ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς οὗτος; | Non est inventus qui rediret, et daret gloriam Deo, nisi hic alienigena. | Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” |
| 19 | And he said to him: Arise, go thy way; for thy faith hath made thee whole. | Rồi Người nói với anh ta: “Đứng dậy về đi! Nolite ire, neque sectemini: | They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them, |
| 24 | For as the lightening that lighteneth from under heaven, shineth unto the parts that are under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day. | Vì ánh chớp chói loà chiếu sáng từ phương trời này đến phương trời kia thế nào, thì Con Người cũng sẽ như vậy trong ngày của Người. | ὥσπερ γὰρ ἡ ⸀ἀστραπὴ ἀστράπτουσα ἐκ τῆς ⸂ὑπὸ τὸν⸃ οὐρανὸν εἰς τὴν ὑπ’ οὐρανὸν λάμπει, οὕτως ἔσται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ⸂ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ⸃. | nam, sicut fulgur coruscans de sub cælo in ea quæ sub cælo sunt, fulget: ita erit Filius hominis in die sua. | for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day. |

| 26 | And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. | “Và cũng như thời ông Nô-ê, sự việc đã xảy ra cách nào, thì trong những ngày của Con Người, sự việc cũng sẽ xảy ra như vậy. | καὶ καθὼς ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Νῶε, οὕτως ἔσται καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου· | Et sicut factum est in diebus Noë, ita erit et in diebus Filii hominis: | As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man. |
| 27 | They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all. | Thiên hạ ăn uống, cưới vợ lấy chồng, mãi cho đến ngày ông Nô-ê vào tàu, và nạn hồng thuỷ ập tới, tiêu diệt tất cả. | ἤσθιον, ἔπινον, ἐγάμουν, ⸀ἐγαμίζοντο, ἄχρι ἧς ἡμέρας εἰσῆλθεν Νῶε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ κατακλυσμὸς καὶ ἀπώλεσεν ⸀πάντας. | edebant et bibebant: uxores ducebant et dabantur ad nuptias, usque in diem, qua intravit Noë in arcam: et venit diluvium, et perdidit omnes. | They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all. |

| 29 | And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. | Nhưng ngày ông Lót ra khỏi Xơ-đôm, thì Thiên Chúa khiến mưa lửa và diêm sinh từ trời đổ xuống tiêu diệt tất cả. | ᾗ δὲ ἡμέρᾳ ἐξῆλθεν Λὼτ ἀπὸ Σοδόμων, ἔβρεξεν πῦρ καὶ θεῖον ἀπ’ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀπώλεσεν ⸀πάντας. | qua die autem exiit Lot a Sodomis, pluit ignem et sulphur de cælo, et omnes perdidit: | but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky and destroyed them all. |
| 30 | Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed. | Sự việc cũng sẽ xảy ra như thế, ngày Con Người được mặc khải. | κατὰ ⸂τὰ αὐτὰ⸃ ἔσται ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἀποκαλύπτεται. | secundum hæc erit qua die Filius hominis revelabitur. | It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed. |
| 31 | In that hour, he that shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he that shall be in the field, in like manner, let him not return back. | “Ngày ấy, ai ở trên sân thượng mà đồ đạc ở dưới nhà, thì đừng xuống lấy. Cũng vậy, ai ở ngoài đồng thì đừng quay trở lại. | ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὃς ἔσται ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ, μὴ καταβάτω ἆραι αὐτά, καὶ ὁ ⸀ἐν ἀγρῷ ὁμοίως μὴ ἐπιστρεψάτω εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω. | In illa hora, qui fuerit in tecto, et vasa ejus in domo, ne descendat tollere illa: et qui in agro, similiter non redeat retro. | In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back. |

| 33 | Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose it, shall preserve it. | Ai tìm cách giữ mạng sống mình, thì sẽ mất; còn ai liều mất mạng sống mình, thì sẽ bảo tồn được mạng sống. | ὃς ἐὰν ζητήσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ⸀περιποιήσασθαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν, ⸂ὃς δ’ ἂν⸃ ⸀ἀπολέσῃ ζῳογονήσει αὐτήν. | Quicumque quæsierit animam suam salvam facere, perdet illam: et quicumque perdiderit illam, vivificabit eam. | Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it. |
| 34 | I say to you: in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. | Thầy nói cho anh em biết: đêm ấy, hai người đang nằm chung một giường, thì một người sẽ được đem đi, còn người kia bị bỏ lại. | λέγω ὑμῖν, ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ ἔσονται δύο ἐπὶ κλίνης μιᾶς, ⸀ὁ εἷς παραλημφθήσεται καὶ ὁ ἕτερος ἀφεθήσεται· | Dico vobis: In illa nocte erunt duo in lecto uno: unus assumetur, et alter relinquetur: | I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. One will be taken and the other will be left. |
