| 8 | The just shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall be raised up against the hypocrite. | Thấy cảnh này, người ngay thẳng cũng phải bàng hoàng,người vô tội phẫn nộ với ác nhân. | θαῦμα ἔσχεν ἀληθινοὺς ἐπὶ τούτῳ· δίκαιος δὲ ἐπὶ παρανόμῳ ἐπανασταίη· | יָשֹׁ֣מּוּ יְשָׁרִ֣ים עַל זֹ֑את וְ֝נָקִ֗י עַל חָנֵ֥ף יִתְעֹרָֽר | Stupebunt justi super hoc, et innocens contra hypocritam suscitabitur. | Upright men will be astonished at this. The innocent will stir himself up against the godless. |
| 9 | And the just man shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. | Nhưng người công chính luôn giữ vững đường lối của mình,kẻ tay sạch lòng thanh sẽ được thêm sức mạnh. | σχοίη δὲ πιστὸς τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ὁδόν, καθαρὸς δὲ χεῖρας ἀναλάβοι θάρσος. | וְיֹאחֵ֣ז צַדִּ֣יק דַּרְכּ֑וֹ וּֽטֳהָר יָ֝דַ֗יִם יֹסִ֥יף אֹֽמֶץ | Et tenebit justus viam suam, et mundis manibus addet fortitudinem. | Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger. |

I will not find a wise man among you. |

| 14 | If I have said to rottenness: Thou art my father; to worms, my mother and my sister. | nếu tôi nhìn nấm mồ mà nói: “Đây là cha tôi!”và nhìn giòi bọ: “Đây là mẹ, đây là chị tôi!”, | θάνατον ἐπεκαλεσάμην πατέρα μου εἶναι, μητέρα δέ μου καὶ ἀδελφὴν σαπρίαν. | לַשַּׁ֣חַת קָ֭רָאתִי אָ֣בִי אָ֑תָּה אִמִּ֥י וַ֝אֲחֹתִ֗י לָֽרִמָּֽה | Putredini dixi: Pater meus es; Mater mea, et soror mea, vermibus. | if I have said to corruption, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘My mother,’ and ‘My sister,’ |

As for my hope, who will see it? |
| 16 | All that I have shall go down into the deepest pit: thinkest thou that there at least I shall have rest? | Bấy giờ hạnh phúc và hy vọng có đi vào âm phủ hay chăng,khi ta cùng nhau yên nghỉ trong bụi đất? | ἢ μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ εἰς ᾅδην καταβήσονται, ἢ ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐπὶ χώματος καταβησόμεθα; | בַּדֵּ֣י שְׁאֹ֣ל תֵּרַ֑דְנָה אִם יַ֖חַד עַל עָפָ֣ר נָֽחַת | In profundissimum infernum descendent omnia mea: putasne saltem ibi erit requies mihi?] | Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?” |
