Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James: to them that are beloved in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called. | Ἰούδας Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοῦλος, ἀδελφὸς δὲ Ἰακώβου, τοῖς ἐν θεῷ πατρὶ ⸀ἠγαπημένοις καὶ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ τετηρημένοις κλητοῖς· | Judas Jesu Christi servus, frater autem Jacobi, his qui sunt in Deo Patre dilectis, et Christo Jesu conservatis, et vocatis. | Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ:
Mercy unto you, and peace, and charity be fulfilled. | Chúc anh em được đầy tràn lòng thương xót, sự bình an và tình thương. | Misericordia vobis, et pax, et caritas adimpleatur. | May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. | Carissimi, omnem sollicitudinem faciens scribendi vobis de communi vestra salute, necesse habui scribere vobis: deprecans supercertari semel traditæ sanctis fidei. | Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
For certain men are secretly entered in, (who were written of long ago unto this judgment,) ungodly men, turning the grace of our Lord God into riotousness, and denying the only sovereign Ruler, and our Lord Jesus Christ. | For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not: | Cho dù anh em đã biết mọi sự chỉ một lần là đủ, tôi cũng muốn nhắc cho anh em nhớ lại rằng: Chúa đã cứu dân ra khỏi đất Ai-cập, sau đó lại tiêu diệt những kẻ không chịu tin. | Ὑπομνῆσαι δὲ ὑμᾶς βούλομαι, εἰδότας ⸂ὑμᾶς ἅπαξ⸃ ⸀πάντα, ὅτι ⸀Ἰησοῦς λαὸν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σώσας τὸ δεύτερον τοὺς μὴ πιστεύσαντας ἀπώλεσεν, | Commonere autem vos volo, scientes semel omnia, quoniam Jesus populum de terra Ægypti salvans, secundo eos, qui non crediderunt, perdidit: | Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn’t believe.
And the angels who kept not their principality, but forsook their own habitation, he hath reserved under darkness in everlasting chains, unto the judgment of the great day. | Angels who didn’t keep their first domain, but deserted their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.
As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire. | Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, having in the same way as these given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are shown as an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
In like manner these men also defile the flesh, and despise dominion, and blaspheme majesty. | Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.
When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee. | But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”
But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted. | Hi autem quæcumque quidem ignorant, blasphemant: quæcumque autem naturaliter, tamquam muta animalia, norunt, in his corrumpuntur. | But these speak evil of whatever things they don’t know. They are destroyed in these things that they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason.
Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain: and after the error of Balaam they have for reward poured out themselves, and have perished in the contradiction of Core. | Khốn cho họ, bởi họ đi vào con đường của Ca-in; vì chút tiền công, họ đã ngã theo sự lầm lạc của Bi-lơ-am, và bị diệt vong vì làm loạn như Cô-rắc. | Woe to them! For they went in the way of Cain, and ran riotously in the error of Balaam for hire, and perished in Korah’s rebellion.
These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water, which are carried about by winds, trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots, | Họ làm cho những bữa tiệc thân ái của anh em ra nhơ nhuốc; họ chè chén mà không biết xấu hổ, họ chỉ lo cho chính mình. Họ là mây không có nước, cuốn theo chiều gió. Họ là cây cuối mùa thu, không trái, chết hai lần, bị nhổ tận rễ. | οὗτοί εἰσιν ⸀οἱ ἐν ταῖς ἀγάπαις ὑμῶν σπιλάδες συνευωχούμενοι, ἀφόβως ἑαυτοὺς ποιμαίνοντες, νεφέλαι ἄνυδροι ὑπὸ ἀνέμων παραφερόμεναι, δένδρα φθινοπωρινὰ ἄκαρπα δὶς ἀποθανόντα ἐκριζωθέντα, | Hi sunt in epulis suis maculæ, convivantes sine timore, semetipsos pascentes, nubes sine aqua, quæ a ventis circumferentur, arbores autumnales, infructuosæ, bis mortuæ, eradicatæ, | These are hidden rocky reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you, shepherds who without fear feed themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own confusion; wandering stars, to whom the storm of darkness is reserved for ever. | Họ là sóng biển hung dữ, tung bọt là những hành vi bỉ ổi của họ. Họ là những vì sao lạc, u ám tối tăm là nơi dành cho họ đến muôn đời. | fluctus feri maris, despumantes suas confusiones, sidera errantia: quibus procella tenebrarum servata est in æternum. | wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever.
Now of these Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying: Behold, the Lord cometh with thousands of his saints, | Ông Kha-nốc, tổ phụ thứ bảy sau ông A-đam đã tuyên sấm về họ rằng: Này Chúa đến giữa muôn vàn thần thánh của Người, | Προεφήτευσεν δὲ καὶ τούτοις ἕβδομος ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ Ἑνὼχ λέγων· Ἰδοὺ ἦλθεν κύριος ἐν ἁγίαις μυριάσιν αὐτοῦ, | Prophetavit autem et de his septimus ab Adam Enoch, dicens: Ecce venit Dominus in sanctis millibus suis | About these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones,
To execute judgment upon all, and to reprove all the ungodly for all the works of their ungodliness, whereby they have done ungodly, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against God. | để xét xử mọi người, và kết án mọi kẻ vô luân về tất cả các việc vô luân của họ, về tất cả những lời hỗn xược quân tội lỗi vô luân đã nói phạm đến Người. | to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain’s sake. | Hi sunt murmuratores querulosi, secundum desideria sua ambulantes, et os eorum loquitur superba, mirantes personas quæstus causa. | These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts—and their mouth speaks proud things—showing respect of persons to gain advantage.
But you, my dearly beloved, be mindful of the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, | Anh em thân mến, phần anh em hãy nhớ lại những lời các Tông Đồ của Đức Giê-su Ki-tô, Chúa chúng ta, đã nói trước kia. | Ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀγαπητοί, μνήσθητε τῶν ῥημάτων τῶν προειρημένων ὑπὸ τῶν ἀποστόλων τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ· | Vos autem carissimi, memores estote verborum, quæ prædicta sunt ab apostolis Domini nostri Jesu Christi, | But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who told you, that in the last time there should come mockers, walking according to their own desires in ungodlinesses. | qui dicebant vobis, quoniam in novissimo tempore venient illusores, secundum desideria sua ambulantes in impietatibus. | They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.”
These are they, who separate themselves, sensual men, having not the Spirit. | These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.
But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, | Nhưng anh em, hỡi anh em thân mến, hãy xây dựng đời mình trên nền tảng đức tin rất thánh của anh em, hãy cầu nguyện nhờ Thánh Thần, | ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀγαπητοί, ⸂ἐποικοδομοῦντες ἑαυτοὺς τῇ ἁγιωτάτῃ ὑμῶν πίστει⸃, ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ προσευχόμενοι, | Vos autem carissimi superædificantes vosmetipsos sanctissimæ vestræ fidei, in Spiritu Sancto orantes, | But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting. | vosmetipsos in dilectione Dei servate, exspectantes misericordiam Domini nostri Jesu Christi in vitam æternam. | Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
And some indeed reprove, being judged: | Những người do dự thì anh em phải thương xót; | καὶ οὓς μὲν ⸀ἐλεᾶτε ⸂διακρινομένους, | Et hos quidem arguite judicatos: | On some have compassion, making a distinction,
But others save, pulling them out of the fire. And on others have mercy, in fear, hating also the spotted garment which is carnal. | and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.
Now to him who is able to preserve you without sin, and to present you spotless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, | Xin kính dâng Đấng có quyền phép gìn giữ anh em khỏi sa ngã và cho anh em đứng vững, tinh tuyền, trước vinh quang của Người, trong niềm hoan lạc, | Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ φυλάξαι ⸀ὑμᾶς ἀπταίστους καὶ στῆσαι κατενώπιον τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ ἀμώμους ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει | Ei autem qui potens est vos conservare sine peccato et constituere ante conspectum gloriæ suæ immaculatos in exsultatione in adventu Domini nostri Jesu Christi, | Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,
To the only God our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and magnificence, empire and power, before all ages, and now, and for all ages of ages. Amen. | xin kính dâng Thiên Chúa duy nhất, Đấng cứu độ chúng ta, nhờ Đức Giê-su Ki-tô, Chúa chúng ta, kính dâng Người vinh quang, oai phong, sức mạnh và quyền năng, trước mọi thời, bây giờ và cho đến muôn đời! A-men. Amen. | to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
